Has anybody seen the reported ticket allocations for the final absolutely disgraceful around 10000 for each club in a 50000 seater. I know its the b league but does nobody care about the romance of a cup final particularly disappointing as these are 2 of the proudest clubs in europe there could have been a cracking atmosphere likely it will be a lot of business men taking there clients for a fine day out. Tragic.

It will still be a cracking atmosphere no doubt but it is frustrating. It's not just the reported number it's the exact number as per the email season ticket holders got the other day, most ineligible to even apply unfortunately.

I'll be in a ballot of 3,000 available tickets to go. Seems wrong, as I've been going to United since I was 5. It is what it is and football is losing its appeal.

I'm honestly delighted we made it to the final, it was crucial that we made it and we did. That being said can anyone here honestly say we deserved to win the tie over those two legs? Particularly disappointing as we saved our 'strong team' and got beaten by Arsenal. I am genuinely worried about facing a young and hungry Ajax side considering how we've been setting up for games lately.
That being said if we can see out one more result we will all have to say that this has been a very good start to Jose's reign. 2 trophies and a champions league spot achieves more than more than most would have expected around October/ November. More importantly it will give us the platform we need to build on. Final mention goes out to the Roo say what you will about him but we needed that experience tonight.

The final will be a different game altogether, last night Jose was wary about conceding the away goal and set up the team to try and deny them that. That said the defence tried it's best after the departure of Bailly to get Celta to the final.
Let's be positive about the final though, as it is we are one match from the Champions league and City and Liverpool would love to be in that position. Hopefully after gaining Champions league football Jose will be able to form the team he wants and rid the club of some players that obviously aren't Utd class. Having Champions league football though doesn't necessarily make attractive enough in the way the media portray it though, Just ask SAF.

Hmmm i'm not too sure about that we did deserve to win the first leg but we couldn't even score from open play we also deserved to lose last night guidetti could have had a hatrick easily.

Darkred Utd were streets ahead of Celta in the first leg and only our usual profligacy in front of goal stopped Utd from returning with the three or four goal lead their play deserved. Last night though was a totally different game and Utd could have had no complaints had they crashed out, hopefully Jose can sign the players he wants in the summer and rid club of some of the players masquerading as Utd class.

Ed25. I'm prepared to give Jose the benefit of the doubt, if he manages to secure the Europa then the season will be seen as one of success. If Jose and Utd fail to win the Europa and ergo fail to land Champions league football then questions will be rightly asked. This team for the best part is not one that Jose has constructed and in my opinion he needs another transfer window or a couple to realise the team he wants to fight for the biggest prizes.
{Ed025's Note - i think thats very fair georgie, i just wonder if his heart is still in it, he seems to have lost his mojo and i know he hates living in manchester away from his family, he has lost his style and charisma for me mate..

Ye he did but everyone misses sometimes what if United play in a penalty shootout later in the season? he's been held off all year because he missed his last penalty, do you think he'd be eager to volunteer or confident walking up to the spot? Anyway I just hope he can get one or two Sunday!

Snappy we still beat Leicester 2-0 after lukaku missed his penalty so it cost us no points? I think it was a weird decision to actaully prevent him from taking it as we seemed to be at little risk of conceding at that stage in the game, easy goals are worth the same as 40 yard screamers and it's well known that getting on the scoresheet helps strikers, half their game is confidence.

Would also just like to add that Fergie ended up replacing many of those players as they just didn't meet his standards. You know the rest, let's hope jose can do something even remotely similar.
