Question for 002, does interest remain in Guarin? Or is all our interest in Carvalho right now? Cheers and sorry if already answered this. Greatly appreciate your info 002.

{Ed002's Note - All I can say is that there has been no offer for him.}

Question for 002 if around, any updates regarding Vidal since conte left?

Thanks

420United

{Ed002's Note - A bid for Vidal is imminent.}

Quick question for 002 when available and if not already answered by the time I ask.

Herrera of Bilbao, is it true that we have agreed a deal?

If not then has interest been rekindled? As a few days ago you mentioned you thought it would be unlikely that we would go back in for him.

Thanks and much appreciation to all eds for any info and the general brilliance of this site.

{Ed002's Note - I understand a bid has been made.}

1.) Thanks 002 appreciate your information!

Got to laugh at mourinho and his comments on how wenger parked the bus. That's how you won the league. Seems the special one can't handle those tactics being played against him.

I think he was deliberately trying to make the point that it's winning that counts and wind up Wenger in the process. Love him or loathe him, he's a smart guy and rarely speaks without an ulterior motive.

I liked his banter reply to Rafa B's wife last week!

2.) 03 Aug 2015 15:24:44
Look guys, I understand some of you hating Mourinho etc. But look at his comments as a whole before you try to criticize him. He congratulated Arsenal on a job well done. We had control of the game for most of it, but Arsenal nicked a goal and defended very well. That's also what he said. Doesn't sound at all like he can't handle it to me.

Great name.
Blaze on.

Would definitely take Godin and/or the young Jimenez both look solid tonight. Seen more of Godin but Jimenez does look like he's going to be quality. Doubt either would cost an arm and a leg either!

I am not sure you would get either for much less than £25-30m.

Totally agree that either would be a great addition to our defence.

What is the beast's love affair with welbeck all about?

The guy simply wasn't good enough. He may play well at Arsenal but he's not and never will be anywhere near the quality needed to lead the front line of any team looking to win trophies. Sad to see him leave as he was a youth product and local lad but that is all. We have gained immensely (Falcao) from letting him and Chicharito leave. Manchester United can't afford to let sentiment cloud judgement and that's what LVG will have thought regarding Welbeck and Cleverley.

Arsenal fans at my work place calling Welbeck the new Pele. got to love them, they're almost as deluded as the scouse lot.

Funny how he couldn't finish his dinner and all the gunners moaning that he is rubbish. But he signs for them, scores two international goals and now he's the best thing since sliced bread.

Funny.

Liverpool fan here

I am not a huge admirer of Wellback Nor I was of Sturridge back at Chelsea.
Wellback was brilliant yesterday and might do another Sturridge at Arsenal.
Sometimes You need a chance.

2.) I didn't want him to go andi think he'll do very well at arsenal. And we let him go dar too cheaply.

3.) We have spent years thinking Welbeck was below par for a top 4 team, he still is he wouldn't get in the team and certainly not as the striker.
Now we have probably the best striker in the world and we have lost a pi$$ poor striker that can't score if he gets chance to think about it

4.) 09 Sep 2014 13:40:12
I'm not going to slate Welbeck too much but he isn't and won't be the required standard for a regular starter. His first goal last night could have gone anywhere with him missing it totally and it hitting his shin, his second he
would miss 9 times out of 10, luckily for him last night it went in. I would rather have Wilson in the first team squad than Welbeck, we don't have room for both.

5.) 09 Sep 2014 13:55:49
Brendon

What If that luck takes his goal tally to 20 and push his confidence to a level which starts working on his skills.

You never know mate.

6.) 09 Sep 2014 14:28:17
Just don't see it Boom, but as with all ex united youngsters I hope he does ok, even at Arsenal. He isn't going to be the difference between them being top four or us so I don't see him as a huge threat to us.

7.) 09 Sep 2014 15:33:23
Lol what ifs from the scousers again, well what if falcao hits form straight away or rvp doesn't get injured? What if blind turns out to be amazing? What if rojo becomes best center back in the league? See lots of what ifs, what if last season was a one off for sturridge? What if he gets injured(sorry that's fact).

8.) I always thought Welbeck gave his all whilst a Utd. It was his decision making that let him down and at 24 now(I think) it's something that he should have by now. I was sad to see hi. Leave but like Boom said before a move away and perhaps with Giroud being out for 3 months he might excel up front. He will definately get a lot of chances playing for Arsenal with Sanchez, Wilshire, Ramsey, carzola and Ozil there. It's all about effort and working in your weaknesses which Welbeck needed and needs to do.

9.) 09 Sep 2014 18:10:06
Oh and i'm not in anyway celebrating sturridge being injured b4 the abuse lol

10.) Every dog has his day, does not change the fact that we are talking about Bambi here :) Remember Macheda

Fellaini after all the boos and jeers marshalled on and silenced those pathetic fans. I'm disgusted that our fans would boo any player wearing our colours.

He may not have had a great first season but anybody who booed him should hang their heads in shame. But the lad deserves a chance in my eyes to prove himself under a manager who knows how to get the best out of players.

1.) 12 Aug 2014 21:41:39
Agree totally, we can all have our opinions on our own players but to act like that is disgraceful.

2.) Couldn't agree more, I was cringing every time that the so called 'supporters' were cheering ironically. I was really hoping he'd score to silence the haters. And he duly obliged!

He was unlucky last year with injuries and playing in a team where near enough every player and the manager wasn't up to the task. Think he could be a good 'plan B' for us at the least.

What a load of rubbish, if kroos left his contract to run down he certainly wouldn't end up joining us. Barca and Real I imagine will be at the front of the queue to sign him. We should just forget about kroos instead of playing "my mate said this" "friend of a friend said that" nonsense.

Can't see Gundogan leaving a CL finalist for arsenal. Bender I imagine would have better offers on the table too.

I would imagine it would be one or the other fresh not both. They need to sell and I can't see both Salah and Schurrle going.

Need one player? Your defence is no better than ours. Only Sakho who is any good. Rest are average at best so that throws one player out of the window straight away. CM is no better either Can arguably your best cm is played out of position, lucas is rubbish as is joe allen. Henderson is okay but again he's no world beater. Lallana is decent, coutinho is good as is sterling but other than that there's only really Sturridge of any quality but has spent a fair amount of his career out injured. Your squad needed a complete overhaul even before Suarez was sold. But then you trusted a fool with the funds from that sale, which you can't really deny that he made bad buys.

Like the same rebuild Liverpool are going to have to go through this summer after god knows how many rebuilds before.

Rodgers is a buffoon who talks absolute rubbish. Gerrard leaving, ridiculous money spent on Lovren, Balotelli, Lallana and Markovic with no real improvement to your team. The less said about your goal keepers the better, Valdes chose to be number 2 at United rather than 1 at Liverpool. Sterling burns out very quick and Sturridge may aswell be sponsored by the NHS. Think you should concern yourself with your own much bigger mess than United.

Whilst both are quality players I don't think I would class either as World Class. Mata as everybody knows just goes missing too often and isn't the fastest player. But also Hazard I feel for the type of player he is, just doesn't do as much as he should. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale get you on the edge of the seat because you always see they are going to create or score but with Hazard he does get you on the edge of the seat but not nearly as much comes to fruition as CR7 or Bale. Just my opinion.

Would prefer Hazard than Mata right now though obviously.

Fresh i never said it was bad just not good. And that was him at a younger age.

Hernandez had a crap season last season, still it earned him a move to Madrid. But that's different right?

Why pay for a 30 year old left footed winger when we have other areas needing strengthened first. Robben is not even a luxury buy it's a panic buy. Let's throw 20+ mill at Bayern and get an overrated old winger. Makes absolutely no sense. Good player when he wants to be but doesn't warrant the price tag they will want at his age or even wages.
