Hi Eds,
You mentioned a few weeks back that Herrera may be available after an incident between him and Mourinho. I'm hoping that has settled down now but there's fresh talk of Barcelona wanting him especially since Ernesto Valverde has worked with him previously.
Is there any truth in this?

Even though the issue has been resolved and Herrera is intended to stay, Ernesto Valverde has him as one of the players he has identified to Barcelona that he would like them to try and get. Barcelona has a negotiating difficulty right now so it may not happen immediately.}

It would be a shame to lose a player of his quality just as he enters his peak years.
With just over a year left on his contract do you know if talks are ongoing?

This makes sense. When I've watched his interview regarding Captaincy and a few others around that time, he looked very off and down. As if he knew in the long run he wasn't committing himself for us! I hope he stays. Is De Gea RM no1 target ed/ s? Thank you.

Cr92, with all respect, how do you know Herrera's mind by him looking down during the interview? Maybe he was just looking for the right words in English.

Looking abit off, not his usual bubbly enthusiastic self. I don't want him to go but and it could've jus been that he doesn't feel like he deserves the captaincy or like he's ready for it.
