I hope so, he would be my first choice to replace Carrick.
With the added bonus of being able to cover in defence as well.
Getting him from Spurs will be very hard though, maybe if Mourinho has decided Shaw needs to move on then maybe a deal could be cut with the players switching clubs with a monetary adjustment thrown in.

^^^ No idea why anyone has disagreed with Den's comment. Rose is miles ahead of Shaw at the moment and is better than any other LB option we have. Shaw might have more potential but that's no good while he can't even make the bench.

Agree wazza. I'm not sure we will see Shaw play for United again but I'm hoping for different. He Is at a real crossroads for his career.
Coleman suffered a very similar leg break and i'd bet he gets back to playing to the highest level a lot quicker than Shaw managed.
