Been awhile since I've posted it been on this, question to the eds do we have any targets for January cheers glad to be back.

That's very interesting.
Based on reports and general feelings, I think Darmian, Rojo, Jones and Schweinsteiger will all go.
The press link us today with Coleman, Barkley and Lukaku. That would not happen in January. I'd be happy to see Coleman come in though, and Barkley come in also who I have been a fan of for sometime. He could be a great option in behind Zlatan, sharing the role with Mata and pushing Rooney out for the last time.
We are also linked with a move for Bakayoko. Good solid defensive midfielder, maybe that player we need to come in to all Pogba to get forward more and play his natural game.
{Ed004's Note - I can see us struggling to sign 1 Everton player let alone 3. I can't see us doing much in January as it is always a hard time to buy although I could see right back being a priority signing even though Valencia has played really well there. Coleman seems like a good shout but I can't think of many top right backs around at the minute.}

If rojo and jones leave then we will definitely be in for a centre back considering bailly is also off to the african cup of nations.
Probably be linked with fonte again i assume if that's the case.
Darmian and bastian wouldn't need replacing considering we have plenty of players in their positions.

With Bailly going to ACON a CB will be a priority given that Jones is never fit and Rojo is poor. We would be left with Smalling and Blind. The options are to promote Tuanzebe, Williams. TFM and Valencia would still be our RB options.
I think Coleman would be a great RB signing for us. Perhaps Fonte would be another good shout. Especially if he doesn't sign a new contract. He's got EPL experience and would settle in very well at a time when we would need him the most.
The question is how much would you pay for a 32/ 33 year old CB?
£10 million max?

Good point about Bailly. The timing of that competition is very unfortunate for all clubs affected.
Fonte and Coleman to replace Darmian, Rojo and Jones would be great. I can see Tuanzebe getting a chance though also.
If I had to take a player from Everton though it would Barkley. I think he is coming through his sticky patch and is developing again. Young, exciting English talent.

Tfm is not a right back so Coleman would be ideal. Imo we should have signed him 2 years ago.
Jones may leave on Loan I can't see Any club forking it cash for him with his injury record.
Bastian rojo darmian and young I See as the most likely candidates to leave permanently.
It would not shock me completely to see Rooney leave but its highly unlikely in Jan unless we can engineer something with Everton.

Fair point ed4 but he won't be needed to cover right side if we sign Coleman as Valencia could cover high and back on that side we have depay (who could be a candidate to leave also) and martial Shaw and blind to covert left. I was also thinking at this stage of his career surely he would like to play more often.
{Ed004's Note - I'm not sure what clubs could afford Youngs wages tbh but I wouldn't be too dissapointed if he left because we need to keep improving the team}

Wow ed002 that many possible comings and goings in January. Jose obviously looking to make some big changes.
Many rumours about coleman. I think he'd be a terrific signing. As a RB, there aren't as many as good as him both defending and attacking.
{Ed002's Note - Coleman is a player that the club has sustained interest in. I suspect next summer might be a better opportunity to strike a deal for him rather than January.}

Suspect be lots of movement in January now Jose's had a chance to evaluate his squad.
Stumbling block miving united players out is their wages. maybe let certain instead go for smaller fees to compensate.
Agree Centre back, right back and holding midfielder priorities: he hasn't found first choice team yet and huge pressure on him to get top 4 (not easy with Liverpool, city, spurs and Arsenal all looking so strong, not to forget Everton and Chelsea. )
