TFM agent has come out and said all reports linking him away from Utd this season are false and he is staying put.

Great news in my opinion.

This guy need looking after, i realy do like him. I like him in the DM position, i think he will be a beast.
Lets give him enough game time to keep him interested in Utd and i think in time we will have one of the best DM in the game.
I would hate to see another Pogba episode.
PS- i can also see him as a box to box player in the future, i think his talent would be wasted in defense, no offense to any defender out there, i was a defender myself.

Can you imagine maybe 2 years time a midfield dynamic duo of TFM and Pogba?
Scary.

On TFM -
"His agent, Jonathan Barnett, has hit out at any speculation linking Fosu-Mensah with an Old Trafford exit. "

He told IBTimesUK : "There is no truth in it. These reports are complete rubbish. "

Great news.

Perth and murph

For some considerable months I have said that TFM looks a beast and believe his best position will be CM and when the PP rumours started said the PP TFM axis in midfield is potentially a great one. It got a few disagrees but I maintain that TFM has potential to be a real beast in midfield, perhaps something we haven't had since the great Roy Keane. TFM has to develop and have the right attitude but from what I have seen he has all the tools.

{Ed001's Note - I think Fosu Mensah is a bit special as well.}

Thanks Ed

I watched Keane develop at Nottingham Forrest before he went to United, physically TFM has possibly a better physique at the same age. It has to be in his head now, because he is at the age where he has to take the step up, where Keane took the step up and kept stepping up. All too many fail, not because of skill but because of the mental side, I just see TFM in our midfield in front of others we already have, who haven't taken their chance. This next year or two will tell us. I was at the game where PP came on as a sub and you could see his talent. Talents often need to work in combinations, Vieira and Petit, Keane and Scholes, maybe it's way too early but PP and TFM just has me thinking.

It would be fantastic. A powerful fast skilful midfield duo once again I hope TFM keeps his head down and works hard. He has all the tools to be a class player.

His contract runs out next season and he's just hired Aidy Ward. I hope we don't see him leave a la Pogba but I get the feeling there's a big cat and mouse game going on at the moment. Hopefully he signs an extension.

Question about what we would be best scenario for us/ TFM longterm.
1. Stay and get 10 starts, another 10 sub appearances spread between RB/ HM
Or
2. Loan to a Burnley/ Boro/ Newcastle for season playing 30/ 40 games in whatever his preferred position is.
I want him to stay. but not sat on the bench and for me if we end up with Pogba I feel we need to use Carrick as HM.

If I were him I wouldn't sign a new contract just yet too. He broke out last season under LVG who was fired soon after. In comes Jose with his perceived bad youth record. I'd actually wait till January to see what my prospects in the club are and to see if the new manager rates me or not. I think it's pretty smart of him how he's playing it but he will commit in the end.

Brad76 - good question.
It's always a hard decision whether he would learn and develop quicker around the likes of Rooney, Malta, Ibra, mickey (Pogba) or develop quicker as himself getting more game time with another team.
My view is that really good players get up to that level by being around the best.
Mourinho also seems to want to keep him around for now.

I agree with red man, him and Pogba may develop together. And it would be crazy to see another duo in midfield for us who could actually compete with the Scholes/ Keane era! His ability in tracking back and tackling puts him ahead of a few in my eyes, and I think he'd learn a lot from Carrick.

Also TFM loves it here, you can tell from his tweets and Insta, all the young lads at the club seem to have a bond wich is good to see.
