I read this morning that PP's agent had cancelled the medical in Miami. I really hope so. It's not my money so I don't care how much we spend on players. What I do not like is being held to ransom by agents wanting ridiculous fees. Let Pogba go, not sure he really wanted the move back, despite what has been said. Let's move on to JM's other targets.

I hope you're right EZRS. I feel really strongly about his potential transfer - I know it's not my money and United are rolling in cash/ premiership fees going up with Sky money, but:
1. Hate the idea of United looking like mugs, paying over the odds for a player who isn't worth the fee yet - plus (it appears, though could be wrong) being manipulated by an avaricious agent who wants 20% of the fee.
2. If I'm right about the agent, then he'll surely push Poggers into agitating for another transfer in a few years - pocketing yet another mountain of money. Reminds me of Anelka and his charming brothers who kept him on the move - £120m fees accumulated I believe. So 20% of that. (Apologies for crude calculations - sure it's much more complex! ) I know we also have Mino's Zlatan and Micki T but, even if they were fee-hunting also, I'm guessing the money won't be so much.
3. While we definitely need more energy in midfield, I believe that we are in more desperate need of a DCM such as Carvalho, Matuidi, Matic -or even TFM - to protect the unforged defence. This is made for Carrick but he's surely only part-time now. A CDM would then allow us to get the best out of Schneiderlin who played his best box-to-box football at S'oton with Wanyama behind him.
4. Thus (and I know I'm playing football manager here! ) if we pay £30m for a CDM, this could even free up some money to buy another more creative MF such as Kroos, if he could be persuaded to come. So rather than one B2B MF I'd rather have a CDM/ MF for the same money, which would give us a more balanced team.
5. Finally I'd like to see Juventus fall flat on their face and be stuck with PP just for being so greedy! Media (lol! ) report that they are demanding £100m PLUS United pay agnt's fees.

1. JM wants Pogba over Matuidi so the only reason we would pull out of the Pogba deal is because Woodward doesn't agree with the price, that's not a JM decision
2. This so called doctor said he had no idea about a medical he was supposed to be conducting, confirming the Spanish papers to be nothing more than comic books spreading Spanish propaganda as per usual.
There has been an outline agreement for this deal since before the euros according to someone who works at a marketing company connected with United. Pogba is on board with moving to United. Juve are just holding out for as much cash as possible, that's all that's holding this up. If Real can sell to raise money then they might be able to join the fight (Pogba would prefer Madrid at this moment in time) but that seems unlikely at this point.

Does anyone else feel that the only real reason that is holding up the deal is that the player is still away on holidays.
We might not even know what the actual negotiations are on about. The fee, we might never know what we actually pay for Pogba, if we do sign him. All the 100-145M talk is in the papers. Yes, we are a bit desperate in the market and pay over the odds but still there are a lot of catches when it comes to Finances involved.
I have the money and want to drive a Ferrari, so I will buy one and not compromise on a Minardi just because that is cheaper and supposedly I can buy 3 of those. That is why Jose isn't looking at Kroos.

My problem with this is that yet again we will waste time trying to get big name players all summer and end up failing and if we need him to complete the team jigsaw then we should go all out to get him.

The problem is that whatever happens the club can't win. A lot of people think the price is too high already, then ohter people think we should get this deal sorted straight away and get the player in. Obviously the club is trying to do this but there is a negotiation process that we have no idea about and no information on. The newspapers don't help with made up and twisted stories.
This morning, for example, Zidane said Pogba is a top player but that he wasn't discussing him as he isn't a Madrid player. The next minute I see headlines saying 'Zidane confirms Madrid are trying to do a deal for Pogba'. I read the quotes and no he didn't, but people will believe the headline.

The main problem is people believing as gospel what these click baiting journalists and media outlets are reporting. For all we know a deal may have been done days ago. Until we here from Pogba or Jose I wouldn't take any stock from the drivel reported.

I have no problem with the three signings made at such an early stage, it was good business.
My problem is paying fat cats like Mino Raiola 20 million pounds to sit on his fat arse and hold a club like our's to ransom. If your happy with that then good on ya!
