BBC reporting Blacburn approach Warren Joyce to be their manager and the request is under consideration -whatever that means. huge blow if he goes - very important cog in the machine and I mean that as a huge compliment.

Id hate joyce to go but you raise a good point and I think it was mentioned on the banter page last week - would Giggs see it as such a big demotion that his ego couldn't accept it? or would he see it as a chance to pick players, plan ahead, tactics etc etc which would give him valuable experience . obvioulsy Joyce has caught the eye in the football world why couldn't Giggsy if he did a good job?

It would be a good job for Giggs; more hands on than an assistant. But I think he will see it as being beneath him.

If he sees mentoring, coaching and helping to improve young Manchester United players as beneath him then he will never be the right man for the top job.
It's the academy that helped make him, you could say he owes them a season or two of service as thanks. that's without even considering it as a stepping stone to further advance his managerial career.

Giggs should take it if offered the job. It's where ole started and look at him now. I'd be surprised if he doesn't return to a club like derby or aston villa or rovers or something.

Giggs to replace Joyce excuse me but this isn't a game on a PlayStation it's for real Gigi's knows guck all about coaching yet so we need to keep Joyce if anything I would promote him and give him a pay rise, we can't let rovers profit from this mess. Nor can we let carrick join a rival.

Giggs needs to go manage elsewhere and shake off the label of underserving and unqualified. If he succeeds elsewhere, there will be no arguments for him to take over someday at United.
The U21 and Real B are very different as the B liga in spain is a proper league.

Let Nicky Butt do it, he deserves it more than Giggs and I think he would do a good job.
