Di Marzio (not sure how reliable he is) has said Renato sanches to man Utd for €60m paid over 4 yrs.

{Ed004's Note - I'm hoping we sign a few top prospects like Sanches, Dembele, Laporte etc as watching Martial, Rashford, Mensah etc this season has been a refreshing change from previous seasons but we would need to ensure we still have some experience in the side}

We'll see, hopefully he will be more Martial than Memphis. If he does come then we will have to be carefully not to put too much pressure and expectancy on his young shoulders. Personally at that price I worry, Tielemans would have been available for a quarter of that, and is a very similar player at a similar level.
He could well be another Anderson or a Ronaldo. It really is a massive gamble.

I'm not to fussed about a centre back prospect I'd prefer bringing some experience in that role but agree with dembele although he appears to be the most sought after youngster in Europe right now so probably be difficult.
{Ed004's Note - We have a young enough defence with some very good youth players coming through. We could probably do with an experienced head to organise the defence like Hummels etc}

Couldn't agree more Ed. Seems youngsters throughout the league this season (Alli, Martial, Kane, Lukaku etc) , have been some of the top performers and I think Ed001 said the other week, how we're targeting players under 25. Dembele, Renato and Stones would be ideal and fill in the areas we need. So fingers crossed for a good summer!
{Ed004's Note - Not as sure on Stones after how badly he has played since Christmas. However, a manager who actually focuses on defending might get the best out of him}

I watched both Bayern games and they owned the midfield and Benfica went route one to get any sort of play going forward and not much of build up from the middle of the pitch. He was so average i am not sure where the price tag and hype comes from.

When a player is touted at his young age for that kind of price, I watch to see is there something very different even raw in the player. Even at his age you expect him to shine a bit against a Bayern midfield (Verrati at 21 looked outstanding against Barcelona midfield) .
Osmane Dembele on the other hand has something special about him but also not ready for the PL and too light and needs a bit more bulk.
I am just stating my view and saw nothing to make me believe in the hype and I will eat my shoes if we pay 60 million for this guy. He is a good player that you maybe pay 18 to 20 millii for and hope he develops. He will be like a deer in headlights in the PL.
No one pays 60 million in todays market to wait for 3 or 4 years to see if they come good. We will go broke as a club and no one runs their business that way.
Quick question when was the last time any team in football paid 60 mill for a defensive midfielder who is 18 and proven jack sh. t. Name me one.
Martial is in different class believe me and he only cost 35 mill with lots of add ons.
We are the favourite team every year in Portugal and always linked for silly prices to players, according to di marzio and the rest of the portuguese press we have bought Ghaitan 4 times already :)
Wait for it United to pay 200 million for Neymar lol.
