Lvg seems very downbeat about yesterday. He's mentioning a lot about the board etc. Maybe the recent stories in the Portuguese Notica newspapers about mourinho coming aren't far of the mark.
Shame that the press insisted on asking him about his future rather than the fantastic game we witnessed yesterday.
I'm not lvg's best fan but yesterday was a good day and still the press were having a go.

Agree12 Disagree1

I have not enjoyed LVG's style of football, I have not liked him getting rid of welbeck, Nani and chicharito, I have not enjoyed his press conferences and after game interviews, but a big thank you LVG for bringing Timothy fosu mensha to the club.

If louis does go this summer he will have left us a very talented player who was value for money and could play for the club for a decade. I suspect the lad will only get better and better as he gains more first team experience.

You don't have to go as far as the press schmid. Plenty Here slating him and everything he did yesterday was not wrong. It's not just the new younger fans either. Opinions are all fine but mostly come from a position of ignorance he has been a manager at some of the world's biggest clubs for 30 years or so and not every single thing he does us wrong. But every butcher baker and candle stick maker on Here knows more without every having been in the position. Yesterday was not a game to make panic changes and I thought he and the players did well.
You can't expect to play any match especially a semi final without being under the cosh at some point. Lvgs experience was vital yesterday and hee used it well imo.

An FA Cup win and sneaking into the top 4 ahead of Arsenal would be a nice retirement send off for a previously great manager who has lost his way.

He will leave us with Martial, Rashford and Fosu-Mensah.

I don't like him and want him out. But those three will do us well for the future. But his time is up and I think he knows it.

I am no LVG fan, but enjoyed yesterday. If we had had a season like that we might well be looking forward to 3rd season under the current manager.
Now we will never know whether the philosophy is finally working or whether this is the result of him no longer trying to look after his job because the writing is ever clearer on the wall.
Whatever, yesterday shows we have more than the embryo of a good squad. We just need a few established players who are not already semi crocks when they sign (sorry Schweini) to give a bit of composure and in match leadership during tough spells.
We seem to have made an excellent start by getting a more involved head of the dugout. I don't view Mourhino through long distance rose tinted specs but he will turn this team around.
