Barkley had another good game. He's looking like the player he promised to be 8 games 3 goals 4 assists with an 86% pass completion rate, all very good for a 21 year old. I would love to see both him and Stones come in. Stones has an 88.9% pass complete rate and has really upped his defensive contribution per game on last year, I would say he's perfect for our style of play.
Another player who I like a lot and feel fits the LVG passing game is Aymeric Laporte, his passing stats are lover than Stones' but he has contributed substantially more defensively. A left footed composed CB an ideal long term solution.
I'm hoping to see more of Goss this year, hopefully he lives up to the new Carrick title. He looks a tidy player with a great left peg, I've not seen a great deal of him but from match reports and bits in the press it sounds like he dictates play very well and puts in his share on the defensive side.
I Still think we need a right winger ,Berardi would be my first choice as he's a proven goal scorer and again fits with LVG's multifunctional player preference (he also can play 10, 11 and 9). Having his international team mate on the same flack can't be a bad thing either.
I don't think we'll see a striker come in if Martial continues his current form, I think LVG will use Wilson plus Memphis, Janazi and whoever we bring in for the right wing to cover.
Looking slightly further down the line Reece Oxford looks a great prospect, should Goss reach his potential an ideal foil for him being right footed.

Oxford looks decent but would even dare try buy him now, need to wait a long time before we can see if he'd be UTD standard.
I'd have Stones before Barkley at the moment as well.

I'd have Barkley and Stones for sure. The thing that I like about English talent is that they won't run home after a year or two. There is no where higher to go than Manchester United.

Hi Mort, who's your pick for right wing?
Reece Oxford would certainly be someone to target in a few years. Hopefully , Goss can replace Carrick and in 3-4 years Oxford could replace/back up an ageing Schweinsteiger (would be nice to have a British midfield).
If we got anything like what I described above, whoever replaces LVG would inherit a very talented squad that could form the foundation for a decade, allowing any changes to the youth set up time to deliver.

Fresh I agree, when we sign British players we tend to be able to keep them. Plus it's nice to see British lads pulling on the shirt.
