It will be dissapointing if we don't bring him in. seemed we were interested and so was he to join.
Unless we have Something else lined up (not Ramos) then we have missed a trick.
Maybe the Bayern lad could be brought inif ootemandi goes there.

bayern join otamendi chase
bayern munich have joined the race to sign unsettled valencia defender nicolas otamendi, reports superdeporte.
otamendi’s agent eugenio lopez revealed back in may that the argentina international wants out of the mestalla, but the player returned to club duty earlier this week with his future still unresolved.
lopez and super-agent jorge mendes have been working to try to find a new club for the 27-year-old, and they may be boosted by the fact that bayern are now interested in the defender.
according to superdeporte, bayern officials have only contacted otamendi’s representative, not valencia.
anchester united, manchester city, psg and chelsea have also shown their interest in otamendi in recent weeks.

Buy Both then! Although Inigo Martinez would be first option because I have a funny feeling Thomas Muller is moving clubs this summer as his relationship with Pep fades fast? John Stones all ready for season 2016-17!

Been said a million times on here but without a top CB 4th place could go down to the last few games IMO.which is totally daft considering Giggs talked about priority being given to the spine of the team .Smalling has progressed but we need a leader -last few days were rumours of stefan de vrij , I m not sure about him.18 months ago I thought it was Garay all the way ,left foot ,leader ,typical hard case south american - would still like him now if there is No Hummels /Otamendi - again just surprising the first purchase wasnt a cb OR 2 scouted the last 9 months . no messing around 1st July a bid or two sent out - actually I think the whole PL is surprised.Have to wait and see I guess.

Likewise I can't understand why we have not bought a CB as its a definite area to strengthen. Now I feel we are going to rely on what we have which feels like a mistake and disappointing
