Evening all,
Blanc stating that a deal between us and PSG for Di Maria is close. I'm guessing that settles things really in terms of us now needing another signing attack wise. Agut Feeling tells me there is a bit of a striker merry go round on the verge and hopefully that involves us. Lewandowski, Bale or Ronaldo for me.

I can't work out whether lvg wants him to stay or not , shame we never got to see him make a go of it

It is a real shame, but, it's better for both parties if he moves on at this stage, his heart isn't in it for us at all. Maybe things like the family home being burgled or whatever it was have played a part. Not sure I believe PSG were his first choice last year.
It's been a great window for us so far and it could still yet get even better. Who will we bring in next.

Pedro and otimendi possibly cilleson. I don't think Pedro is 1st choice but the likes of muller Ronaldo and bale are not going to happen so who else is out there! Plus 22million for Pedro is another bit of good business ! We haven't thrown money at anyone yet

True. The midfield business has been astute and the Depay signing is incredible. Agut Feeling tells me we are still in with a chance for something great, as you have said though it's hard to think just where that will come from. That's why I think there might be a chain reaction type scenario. City want to sell Dzeko, Madrid need to sell someone, Munich haven't done much at all yet other than one in one out. I just wonder if Madrid will go for Ageuro this year or something, something out of the blue.
We will see.

We are definitely in for someone big. Adidas really want to trailblaze their new kit deal with Pedro as the lead new flair player? Appreciate Memphis is there too.
Our spend including Pedro will only just be pushing £100m and if you lop off £46m return on Di Maria all of a sudden our £150m war chest has £100m in it.
That coupled with the urgent need to get back to the top table, LVGs comment re Ronaldo, Messi etc being the very top players we are competing against AND his comment he's retiring in 2 years mean someone big is coming. And they're coming now.
Targets are the obvious ones: Ronaldo, Muller and Bale. The most gettable of those is Ronaldo.
I said it a few weeks back Ronaldo is coming home.

I personally think Muller is the one! His relationship with LVG will swing him towards us?

Ronaldo will stay at Madrid to become their all time top scorer. Bale will stay as well. I really like muller, however lewandowski seems more viable
