So Firmino's agent has come and said that he has agreed a move to a Premier League club.

Are we not the only ones to show an interest? I guess a team like Chelsea may also be interested but I think we may have sealed our second deal of the window.

{Ed004's Note - Could be Man City}

Ed004, I am sure that Firmino will learn from robinho's blunder :)

{Ed004's Note - I haven't seen enough of Firminio to see how good a player he is}

15 Jun 2015 13:16:00
Well if he does come to us then we know Pereira won't get a look in this season.

Please tell us if it's us ed 002.

{Ed004's Note - He is not commenting on this page anymore}

{Ed004's Note - I will ask but can't promise anything}

Cheers

From what I have seen (which isn't many games) he is a real talent, decent goal scorer and great vision.

Brazilian's never do well here though which is a concern!

I seem to remember Ronaldo doing pretty well against us when he scored a hat trick in the champions league,, juninho did ok at boro,

15 Jun 2015 16:15:17
Yes haha, they do well against us but we don't have a good history with them!

I'd love to see a real world class attacking midfielder who has the ball tied to his foot. Would add so much to our play and in my opinion, if physically strong enough, should be able to play in our middle 3.

Does anyone think that Firmino in could mean Mata out? Perhaps used in a deal for Otamendi?

15 Jun 2015 16:34:42
I believe ed002 made a comment on the city page that a transfer of Firmino to City is looking less likely as there is growing interest from elsewhere, fingers crossed its us, good player

15 Jun 2015 16:40:10
Coutinho ain't half bad either

15 Jun 2015 17:04:55
Fresh I suggested the mata otmaendi swap deal over a week ago and got shot down.

It makes sense to me. Firmino is more versatile and quicker than mata. As I said then, would hate to see the little magician go, but if it means more balance in the team, maybe it needs to happen.

More pace, more robust cb, big wages off the books. Seems to make sense.

Don't think it's us (Chelsea). Ed002 commented on our page that the club (i.e. Chelsea) dropped their interest in him. So you don't have to fear us, lads ;-)
Great player though, he'd be a very good acquisition. However I don't really see a place for him in the team right now. If Mata moves, then that's a whole different story.

Wow guys, I can't believe no-one has mentioned Liverpool as a possible destination. :O)

15 Jun 2015 19:48:14
Ed002 ruled out a liverpool move for Firmino, stating there is no interest! :O)

15 Jun 2015 16:40:41
Plus ed004 I read on liverpool page that ed002 said they have no interest in Firmino so looks increasingly likely he will be on his way to UTD

17 Jun 2015 13:13:32
id hate to see mata leave as he is an awesome player but i think he does slow things down on a counter attacking basis. maybe firminho will do the sale role but a lot quicker and is younger and also quicker
