Reports saying that Zaha might sign for CP on permanent deal for £3m. If true, then the club are making big mistake. He needs time and maturity and he will be a top player.

It was a mistake to buy him for such a high price in the first place. He has potential but I don't think he will turn out to be a top player.

Whenever I have watched him he looks a bit out of balance and himself doesn't know what trick he is doing sometimes.

Rising to a possible £6m. Plus the loan fee received, it wouldn't be a major loss considering he cost £10.3m. For me he lacks the discipline which is needed to succeed at the highest level.

Wasn't favoured by Moyes, couldn't cut it under Van Gaal which suggests he will be one of these good mid table PL players. Makes you wonder if Zaha was a mere last ditch attempt by Fergie to leave behind a 'potential star' after he called it a day.

We need proven quality. We have too many players that are supposedly ready to "come good". Our entire defense for example. Lots of spending needed to challenge for the title again.

I don't get why this lad was never allowed to start at least a few games before moving him on especially with some of the players performances last year. What a waste :(

Quite simply, Zaha has physical attributes without the intelligence or composure to back it up. Fergie should never have bought him, he was just a cheap alternative to the likes of Hazard and Lucas. But ultimately cheap alternatives end up being more costly.

If anyone thinks he can become a top class player, i'd advise you to watch him for a full 90 min. Lots of pace, powerful and has some skill. But his positional sense is awful, his work rate is poor and, most importantly, he is severely lacking in end product. The lad could have improved at United but everything points to him having a poor attitude. Some young players think that being top dog at a Championship club and getting a big move means they've made it, and they don't need to work hard any more. They do, and they'll soon find themselves crashing back to earth. He's hardly set the world alight at Palace either.

It's a shame really, i've always liked him and he's got lots of skill and potential to be great with his pace, power and skill but like Danny said he's only got himself to blame never really knuckled down to improve himself. Sad really but you see it happen quite a lot.

What annoys me so much is that we seem to buy players for a fortune and sell them for peanuts. Not talking about this case, but in general, it seems because the club is so profitable that selling clubs rip us off simply because we can afford high prices.

He can't defend, his passing is poor and in todays game unless you are CR07 or Messi, you are expected to contribute at the defensive end. Just because he has a few tricks that does not make him a top player and you need a lot more than that over 90 minutes. Hazzard and Pogba are probably fergies biggest screw ups. We went for kagawa instead LOL.

I remember having a large debate with certain posers 2 years ago that he was overrated and not going to make it, some actually were preaching we had the next Ronaldo lol

And people thought paying £6m to loan Falcao from Monaco for the season was bad. By the looks of things we will have spent £12m to loan Zaha from Palace for a season.
