Jose says he learnt nothing last night, but I can tell you what I learnt, or knew and had confirmed.

Romero, good back up keeper,

Valencia, for a long time, poor going forward, now just poor full stop,

Bailly, possibly a good player but has a brain like a box of frogs,

Jones, an accident waiting to happen, and you never need to wait long,

Rojo, comitted but not good enough,

Fellaini, i think he is a useful squad player, but never as our holding midfielder,

Pereira, unfortunately not quite good enough,

Fred, not sure, i think there is a player there, but he looks lost at the momeent,

Pogba, will never have the application to go with his talent,

Mata, a player most people like, if only he wasn't so slow,

Lukaku, i believe he will score goals in any team that creates chances, but he cant't play as such an isolated striker.

Finally Jose, no doubting his qualities over the years, but if the board are split and he isn't getting full backing, maybe we need change.

And finally, if you ever need proof of how pundits treat us differently, we are forever told Rashford might need to leave to get his chance, but they tell us Phil Foden is at the best place to develop when he barely gets a kick in the 1st team.

Rant over.

All fair and a accurate imo inhope.
Jose will be gone to win trophies elsewhere in the summer if not before.
No new manager will turn this squad into league winners.
I just hope the new manager will be allowed to get rid of 8 or 9 of the current squad as some of them are simply not good enough to play for us.

Agree with every player mentioned bar Lukaku yes he probably would score more goals with better service but in my eyes he is a useless lump who couldn’t trap a bag of cement and for his size he is a pussy cat and I've seen milk turn quicker than him not good enough @ never will be.

I learned a lot from last night.

We have a lot of players who never even tried last night. The ammount of walking and half hearted sprints was criminal. This has nothing to do with Jose now. These players are picking up vast sums of money and the minimum I expect is hard work and graft. They are representing one of the worlds most prestigous clubs and they can't be arsed to try? Sorry but last night told me a lot about our squad.

Like Ken said, a fair few players need to leave and come in. Unfortunately, with the ammount required it will probably take another 3 windows.

I have been angry against Jose. Said I thought his time was up. Last night I looked at the players and felt sorry for Jose. No doubt he picked the team with Liverpool in mind and we pretty much agree it was the right team. He never drastically altered the system. It was down to them as players.

Jones, Valencia, Rojo, Perrira, Pogba and Sanchez can leave in January and I wouldn't care anymore.

Bailey, Fred, Mata, Fellani are players that I would keep in the squad. All have their uses and I beleive they do try every game.

Lukaku. His touch is awful. The size of the guy and he can't hold a ball up? I know people say play to his strengths but if a 6ft plus hulk of a man can't protect a ball for 5 seconds then i'm at loss what his stregths are. He scores goals but misses a lot too. Many big chances missed last season and this. His confidence is on the floor at the minute but unless he can do the basics right, control, protect, pass and move into space, he has nothing to build on. If we played in a team that delivered balls in the box, he would score more. We dont. So he offers nothing. So do we build a team around him? Is he good enough to warrant that?

I fear the gap is increasing between us and the Citys and Liverpools. A major overhaul is needed throughout the club. For now, Jose is the only man for the job as their is no-one out there either available or with a cv showing they have the right tools to take on this massive job.

Glad to get that off my chest.

ken the fear is a new manager will come in and want to asses the squad and we will be stuck with them for another season then the new manager gets sacked because we are out of the top four.

Daz any manager that comes in that needs to Assess valencia rojo jones smalling fellaini Darmian periera shouldn't have got the job.

Phil Foden is surrounded by quality players, coaches and a world-class manager. Rashford isn't.

nah for me this is poor management from Mourinho. poor tactics and with no identity to our play what do you expect from fringe players who lack match fitness and/ or little or no integration to the first team? is this Mourinho's lack of experience without Rui Faria? or are we exposing Carrick and McKenna's lack of experience? there is no consistency or balance to the team. Players need to know their roles and need sharpness and i think the squad players lack this.

You make 5 or 6 changes in one go, you don't do well. And that was even the case under Fergie.

ken we still have some after three managers but i agree with what you say.
