"My future is currently in Manchester, I still have a contract, I’m playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the next month's " pogba

Away in January?

Always quotes from Pogba when he is on international duty, he may leave in Jan but only if we secure a replacement. Thank God we won at Burnley or this would have been headline news.

06 Sep 2018 14:10:24
Pogba just needs to shut his trap and get on with getting his head down working on doing his job a bit better.

06 Sep 2018 14:29:20
Get rid of him. United are bigger then any player and there arr players put there which will do a better if not similar job to him.

06 Sep 2018 14:33:52
Pogba makes nearly as much money from his social media outlets as he does from playing football.
More clicks and vists to his platforms the better. So the more contraversy and the more he earns because people will clik in to his platforms to see what he has to say. Positive comments or negative it doesn't matter neither are believable.

06 Sep 2018 15:14:49
Frankly, who cares? Players come and go. That's football.

06 Sep 2018 15:18:13
Never has a player attracted so much undeserved publicity. I literally can't believe why so many people seem to give a damn what this clown does or says. I can count on one hand how many games he has stood out in since he signed. The sooner we are rid of him the better.

I'd go as far as to say Cleverley had more stand out performances than Pogba for Utd, this comment shouldn't even be debateable btw.

06 Sep 2018 15:50:56
I really hope he's sold now, needs to learn to shut his mouth he's delivered one standout performance in the 2nd half against city. Needs to just get his head down and string some good performances together rather than talking about a move, way he talks you'd think he delivered Keane or Robson type matches he'll never be as good as he thinks he is might be a nice guy but he's comments lately suggest he thinks he's to good and big for the club.

06 Sep 2018 16:56:17
I expect he'll go in January. The club will want to try and sort his replacement before they let him go to save face. He never wanted to be here, so it's best for the club to sort a quick and easy exit.

It's a shame as he has so much potential, I don't think he has played badly too often for the club. In fact he has played well more often than not.

However, I think the fee paid for him and the hype around the lad he was always on to a hiding to nothing.

If he had the body of Modric most would be raving about him and his performances. However, he is huge and well built so we expect more defensive work rate, some crunching tackles and for him to boss the game from a physical stand point. Which just isn't his game. Players who play that way do so because they haven't got half the talent Pogba has.

I think Jose hoped he could coach that side of the game into him. I think it's not possible to make a player with such talent going forward into a player who will think defence first.

You can't have a player who's first instinct will change depending on the situation. You have players who'll always look forward first and players who'll always think safety first.

That's why I think Pogba will always be doomed to be labelled as underachiever. Yaya Toure was going down the same path until it was decided that he shouldn't defend and just play his natural game.

06 Sep 2018 17:05:07
Can see everyone has last patience with the muppet now. Exceptional talent with a big mouth and an attitude that makes me want to punch his face. Can't wait to see the back of the clown.

06 Sep 2018 17:23:45
Sounds like he has the full the support of the fans and everyone is getting behind him .

Lad doesn't look happy, has all the ability in the world would love to see him do well with us .

06 Sep 2018 17:38:12
Roonbest, these are my sentiments exactly. I was delighted when we signed him, but as I've said in the past, i hate all the social media stuff he does and the different haircuts every other day. He needs to concentrate on his game, but he's not going to as he's a premaddona. Fgs just sell the person.

06 Sep 2018 17:43:14
Il be gutted if he leaves and i think the tpure comparrison is a fair one.

Jose is trying to change his game and pogba needs to flourish using his natural gane.

We need to look for a replacenent if he leaves and that in itself is a challenge.

06 Sep 2018 18:05:07
People are becoming a bit polarised on this one. Pogba has all the talent in the world, but doesn’t have the work ethic, yet, to become a truly top class player. It’s obvious that he doesn’t rate Jose, and Jose doesn’t rate him. But he is never going to be a one club man anyway. The club offered him to a few teams this summer, so it’s perfectly logical for him to hint at a January move. He’s available for a price, and hopefully everyone can just move on.

06 Sep 2018 18:23:20
Pogba is the typical "i want money and fame" type that football has delivered. Agents who grab them and manipulate them and gain vast fortunes themselves. I am a bit old school and think we should have a quota of foreign players. I support MANCHESTER United, not WORLD United and want to see local lads playing for their team. Its too late to change it now, but that's why we have Pogbas and DiMarias etc.

06 Sep 2018 19:01:03
Cheeky person belittling our club, get rid ASAP. We should never have to pander, and act grateful to have ANY PLAYER! at our club.

06 Sep 2018 19:32:54
Beast has it spot on, Pogba has done nothing to deserve the hype and publicity he attracts. His comments do not smack of someone who is committed or focused. Not every player has his heart in the club and as Betty said, players come and go. However, his fee, his agent, his form, his comments make me want to rush him to the exit. I’d take Herrera every day of the week over Pogba. He may not have the same ability but he has heart and desire and a commitment to us.

06 Sep 2018 21:43:29
Exactly how I feel about it AJH. The club as a whole is going through a tough time at the moment and they all need to pull together and concentrate on the football. Playback has lots of ability, but I am still not convinced he is THAT good. Moreover, I think he may well be suited to the less physical European leagues rather than the Prem - but that's just my opinion.
He has not been bad for us as is made out - but due to the fact he does have the talent I think more is expected of him - which is not unfair.
In all honesty, he was never likely to stay long anyway. To me we are just a stepping stone to his perceived 'bigger things' - Madrid or Barcelona etc or maybe even back to Huge for another big was of cash for himself and his agent.
I would be more like than happy if he were to stay and and fulfill his potential, but I don't see it happening.
I may be old school, but I would much rather have players than actually want to be here and have the genuine desire to work hard for the club and the fans any day.

06 Sep 2018 21:54:34
Pog is suited for Italy, maybe Spain at a push. He’s a one in five player at best. We need better, or just okay Ander or Andreas and see how they go instead.

I’d guess Pogba is one of those players who looks so awesome in training that the manager thinks he can’t be dropped. Rarely translates out on the pitch. Back to Juve, wel’ll swap him for Pjanic.

06 Sep 2018 22:21:37
Ship the tiresome instagram model out.

06 Sep 2018 18:11:00
Pogba = Mercenary.

06 Sep 2018 22:28:54
Thank God fellaini signed that contract extension.

06 Sep 2018 23:35:30
Maybe if we had a decent defence Pogba would be allowed to express himself and flourish in the attacking midfield role that so obviously suits him. Forget the social media stuff. That's what young kids do nowadays. He hasn't set the world on fire for Utd but neither has he been as bad as some would have you believe. I think he needs support and we will regret his departure. I can see him back playing with Juve and us thinking why did we let him go and why didn't he play like that for us. It is true that no one is bigger than the club but the reality is also that there are not too many great midfield replacements of his quality available as his replacement. Don't forget too how young he is and he will get better and more consistent the more he plays and older he gets.

07 Sep 2018 07:38:08
You're trying to say that it's because of a bad defence that Pogba can't string two passes together or worse, can't pass the ball yards. He has underachieved massively and that has nothing to do with the price tag that he came with neither does it have to do with our (fans) expectations.

At the end of the day, he can say with his head held high that he gave us his all and played to his max, then it's certain that EPL is just not for him, because apart from the 45 mins he played against City, he hasn't really shown the quality that he possesses.

07 Sep 2018 07:52:55
hendonred, I’d rather have a mediocre Ander Herrera for 5 games than a decent Pogba for 1/ 5 games.
He’s not a young kid either. My 14 year old daughter is a young kid who uses Instagram etc. He is a grown man who has a very healthy salary. He should keep his mouth shut until he moves on. He owes that much to the fans and football club if not Jose and his teammates.

07 Sep 2018 07:57:09
I don’t expect all our players to support us, but I do expect them to respect us. Giving mixed messages, even hinting at leaving, less than 100% commitment is unacceptable. Add to this that Pogba was made captain for several games makes it more galling. For me it says a lot about his character and character is an important part of being a United player. If commited then he can be a great player but it seems he isn’t. It isn’t about where he plays or who for or how, it seems it is all about him. However, the club always comes first and if Pogba has anything less than 100% clarity on playing for us then it is time to get rid. I would rather give a youth player a chance. He can still redeem himself but his options are narrowing, every time he opens his mouth it seems.

07 Sep 2018 09:29:24
If the manager isn't happy or committed as the ed has said does the same apply?

Like pogba said who knows what will happen in the next few month but to be fair to the lad he also said

"One thing I can assure you, I will always give 100%, no matter which coach I always give everything for United - I can not say more. "

People want to get rid of him, is this because of what he has said or because he isn't playing as well as people think he can?
If he finds top form between now and Xmas will people still want to sell him .

Ronald said far worse over 2 years, can't remember that many wanting to sell him .

If he goes he goes but there is also a very good player there I would much prefer to see him do well at United and stay .

07 Sep 2018 09:50:06
Jred

I would prefer to see him do well and stay but he has to show that commitment on the pitch. As for Ronaldo, he maintained the very highest level with us no matter what was said.

07 Sep 2018 10:31:40
"I don’t expect all our players to support us, but I do expect them to respect us. Giving mixed messages, even hinting at leaving, less than 100% commitment is unacceptable. "

Red man, I completely agree with that sentiment. Do you feel that it applies to the manager also? I think the manager as the leader and the person the rest of the club should be looking to, it is even more important that the manager respects the club and shows commitment. After all the players will follow their managers example.

So, what is your view of Jose flirting with other clubs, constantly sulking like he doesn't want to be here and living in a hotel still after two years?

Does that show the kind of commitment and respect you would like the players to follow?

07 Sep 2018 10:50:41
Red Man, I agree totally. 'Giving mixed messages, even hinting at leaving, less than 100% commitment is unacceptable'. Although some of our greatest players have batted their eyelashes at other clubs, when it suited them. Just as our current manager has as well, to be fair.

07 Sep 2018 11:03:39
Shappy

Yes I do, I want the manager to be fully committed as well. Leadership from the top is vital.

The interesting thing has been the managers strong connection with the fans at recent games. It could be a ploy as it makes him more difficult to sack, but the club sacked the popular Tommy Docherty so that is no guarantee. However, after being undermined, which I can tell you as a senior manager would rankle in the extreme with him, he may have found a driver, a reason to show people what he is made of. The players have followed him where he has been before and seem to be with him now so I think we have to give him the time to show what he can do.

I would add that Keane, Rooney and Ferdinand all toyed with leaving likely looking at pay situations so you might have questioned their commitment at that time, but not after that. Jose needs to show it too, and interesting if he did say that any other club he would have walked away from.

08 Sep 2018 10:47:18
Redman when asked if he could be sacked Jose said " no it would cost them to much"
15 mill a year might have a little bit to do with it as well .
