Good evening ladles and jelly spoons, hope you are all well. I saw down the page the post from AJH regarding the annual predictions competition so thought I'd better enter - though I'm not really sure it's worth bothering after reading a few posts from recent days as it appears that the world is destined to end tomorrow at precisely 5pm.
It's such a shame really as I have spent most of the summer in counselling sessions while out of it on valium. It has helped a great deal though, and I have now come to terms with a few facts in life that simply cannot be changed, the most important being:
1 Jose Mourinho is the devil
2 The lord our God is in fact divided into 2 separate beings. They go by the names of Pep and Jurgen - who knew?
3 Manchester United are doomed. Our only chance of silverware will be The Championship NEXT season, as we are certain to be related next May.
After coming to terms with the above, I have realised that supporting Manchester United is simply a waste of my time. I have decided I will only support a team that is guaranteed to win the league every year and sign the players that I want.
Anyway, hope you are all well peeps. If by some miracle the world does actually continue beyond tomorrow tea time, I wish you all the best for the coming season - and I really do recommend that valium as a United supporter.

Hi lads, All joking aside I have still been reading the site regularly, just not posted. Too many over the top, hysterical posts for me.
I totally get that all is not well at our club - hasn't been for a long time. Three bad managerial appointments on the trotter, overpaying massively for names rather than the right players etc etc.
I don't buy into this idea that the managers haven't been backed in the market - huge amounts have been made available and subsequently spent. It has just been spent badly and not addressed the areas that are most in need.
Having said all that, what is the point in constantly shifting and bitching about something over which we, as fans, have absolutely no control or influence over?
Nobody is MADE to support a football team. We CHOOSE our allegiances, and should stick by them through the good and the bad. Everyone his entitled to their opinions and to air there views, but it hasn't played become a bit over the top now.
This is a fantastic site run by a great bunch of Eds, and with some really knowedgeable members. Unfortunately not has become just like all other social media - a platform for negativity and bitching. I just hope that once the season is underway and this stupid transfer window is closed, people will accept the situation format it is mandatory back to supporting the club rather than bemoaning it.

I got to say I really agree with this. No amount of moaning and whining will change anything. Much easier to just get on with the only thing we all agree with, i.e actually supporting the club.
