One for the Eds.

Liverpool, City and Chelsea (to a certain extent) have bought in new players, Chelsea got a new manager as well. What's your take on the signings done by the top 4/ 6 till now?

What's your take on Sarri, you think Chelsea have a got a good manager?

And I know this is a repetitive question, but what's your opinion about Fred. I have never seen him play and I doubt that YouTube is the best place to understand a player, so it would great if you could lend your insights into that. Or if a player review could be made for him, Whatever works for you.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have done well and now need to get rid of players - I very much expect they have a little bit of business still to be done. Manchester City have only added Mahrez and a young defender (I don't recall his name) but are looking to potentially a significant exit or two and they are looking to put something in place that will see a very significant purchase - so work is still in hand. Chelsea have agreed to two players arriving and three leaving (who are still at the club) and are continuing talks today over a couple of others - so they also have a long way to go. is more of a mixed bag with Leno, Papaoowmowmow and Torriera good additions and then the rather starnge deal for Stephan Lichtsteiner - they have a little work to do. Spurs will certainly be looking to start the ball rolling in anger soon.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for reply Ed. If you don't mind me asking, is Hazard one of the player's that is looking to leave Chelsea this season?

And who else do you think Liverpool are targetting?

Thanks again. Any chance you can share your thoughts on Sarri, and also Fred? Your Sharkopod said something about United rushing into the deal.

{Ed002's Note - This is the Manchester United page - try the Chelsea page. Yes, Fred was rushed in to, the club should have taken their time, but it is too late now.}

What do you mean by rushed in Ed002? Not the right fit or panicked? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Just forget it.}

Scholes, I'd imagine ed002 means that if United had of waited a bit longer they could have potentially bought a player that was "better" than Fred.

There's still a lot of business to be done. For example let's say Kroos becomes available, we're stocked up in midfield now and can't go for him.

I'm happy with the balance of the midfield though. Ed002 saying we had discussions with Spurs about Alderweireld and it didn't go anywhere fast is very worrying.

Obviously I expect us to bring in at least a few new players, but how far down the list are they going to be?

Yh Mumbles, do like the midfield options myself, just seen the clock ticking down on Sky Sports, 20 days left lol, wonder how many will come in? Also, i'm hoping we do end up getting Alderweireld, Spurs' way of getting max amount for him like this? Hopefully they'll bite as it's unlikely Levy will risk losing him for a less amount next summer.

From what I've read and I don't know how true it is, we're around £20 million apart in valuation. That's a lot considering how tough Levy is with negotiating a price. Also, we probably should be trying to shift a centre back on before we bring him in. We have Bailey, Lindelof, Jones, Smalling and Rojo. I'm sure Jose would part with most of them but finding a buyer might be tough.

We'd like Alderweireld in ASAP. Spurs can wait until deadline day, means nothing to them.

I know the figures being quoted could be pie in the sky but I highly doubt the United board want to spend £60 million on a 29 year old. We may have to look at alternatives.
