I've said this every time I've watched a south American team so far but god they're dirty.

From the diving, rolling around and play acting from Argentina, Suarez and neymar to the dirty snidy tackles, shirt pulling and general shithousery of panama and Colombia they've all been terrible.

Agree7 Disagree6

Never mind Maguire’s dive, Stones stamp and Alli studs up and Kane diving then x.

03 Jul 2018 21:21:50
Forget that, what were our first 2 subs about. Dier and Vardy. should have been LC and Rashford. Those subs changed the game for me.

Read the post.

Is it not coming home?

03 Jul 2018 22:00:57
Come on Welsh, stop being, well, Welsh. Yes England layers can do some of that stuff but the South Americans make it an art form. I’ve never seen our players behave like Neymar, nor intimidate the referee like Colombia did tonight. I know you don’t want England to win but get over yourself.

03 Jul 2018 22:02:31
Mina when he pinched sterling then through himself backwards as if he's been hit. Terrible.

03 Jul 2018 22:14:07
I thought Colombia’s tactics was spot on Tony 😂 nah congrats and c’mon Sweden. If only Zlatan was there. Your name is on the trophy I’ve already come to terms with it.

03 Jul 2018 22:15:30
And whilst they were delaying the penalty, did you see them all digging at the penalty spot to rough it up?

03 Jul 2018 22:27:01
Horrible people. Not good enough so we’ll try and cheat. And the coach having a go at Sterling should be banned.

03 Jul 2018 22:28:56
FIFA need to get a grip. The play acting and intimidation of refs is out of hand. Several of the Colombians should have been sent off for dissent. Ronaldo should have gone the other night as well. It’s time to reset expctations and clamp down on it.

03 Jul 2018 22:45:43
Welsh I get you don't want England but headbutting Henderson, some coach elbowing sterling at half time and scuffing up the penalty spot before Kane took it, do u dislike England that much you'd rather see that stuff prevail . The whole of England would back Wales.

03 Jul 2018 23:15:07
Yeah, Supasub, I saw that at the time, and thought it was only me 😁.

04 Jul 2018 09:23:48
Agree with Welsh, the English were just as dirty, pushing, shoving, diving, stomping, aggressively shouting down opponents and ref, but they are sly about it, don't make a theatrical scene from it, so it just gets ignored.

People getting carried away, England haven't done anything spectacular so far in the World Cup, struggled against Tunisia, easily beat Panama (but they tried, Belgium won 3-0 without much effort) and lost to Belgium, last night they struggled again. Prevented play by drawing fouls or making soft fouls, then got lucky with a penalty (Kane was pulling and tugging as much as the Colombian guy) .

Media in France after two wins: they are bad, something needs to change. England after a late win against Tunisia and a victory against the weakest team in the tournament: "it's coming home".

04 Jul 2018 09:45:04
Ludwig,

Well done, you outshone Welsh for bitterest post of the week, we won, get over it.

04 Jul 2018 10:11:03
best way to hurt them was watching them cry.

04 Jul 2018 10:12:54
slate51 i would not.

04 Jul 2018 10:41:06
Ludwig I don't think anybody in England thinks we are the best team in the world but the draw has opened up in a way that means England could go far I'm not saying they will just they could . England have suffered many iffy decisions in tournament football over the years and var has proved to be good for England as idiotic defending by teams is now being rightly punished . You may feel England are drawing sly fouls or gameplay but our opponents have been blatant and making little or no attempt to disguise or stop what they are doing even when knowing a guy is watching out for the very things they are doing in the var centre.

04 Jul 2018 10:54:12
Ok I overestimated most people but definitely not daz.

04 Jul 2018 10:57:30
It has nothing to do with bitterness, I don't support any national team really, used to support Netherlands in the 90s when I was young because I liked their style of play, but that has changed a lot.

I watch most games as a neutral, and that means I saw England being just as dirty as Colombia which was what this post was about. If England do go all the way, it will be similar to Greece in 2004, more about halting play and being lucky, than on pure merit.

I wouldn't mind England winning, but the fans are sore winners. On facebook last night, people were overjoyed, Colombia equalised and people were banging on about the ref being paid by Colombia, ignoring the fact most the decisions went England's way.

But when people get upset about players playing games, then turn a blind eye to Trippier bending down and shouting "f*** off" into a player's face, then I will point out that bias.

04 Jul 2018 11:12:36
So headbutting a player to get him out the wall or a coach sticking an elbow into a player as he walks off for halftime then smiling as to how pleased you are to have done that, scuffing up penalty spots, hounding the ref and rugby tackling players from corners you felt was on a par with England's tactics.

{Ed002's Note - Why do you all whine so much? Move on.}

04 Jul 2018 11:17:41
The headbutt in the wall was clearly in retaliation to being elbowed by the English players, they were shoving the Colombian wall in the back. Also, strong to call that a headbutt, more a slight nudge of the chin with the head, but of course those theatrics were justified. Sorry, ed, will stop there.

04 Jul 2018 11:25:00
Ludwig,

You certainly sound like a totally unbiased non bitter person with both of them posts mate.

It doesn't matter now because it's over but if you genuinely watched that last night and thought England were as bad as Colombia then I suggest watching again, if you can bring yourself to watch England win, it must be hard for you being so 'neutral'.
