Wanted to see what people opinions were on Dembele of spurs.
One of my favorite players from opposition teams past few years. Thought Utd should have tried sign him when he left Fulham.
Available according to reports and would be an upgrade on current midfield options. Still only 30/ 31 so couple years left.
Thoughts?

I think his play has been getting worse in r3cent years. He isn't the same player he was few years ago.

Always rated Dembele. I go to quite a few Fulham games and when he left I said he woukd have been perfect in our midfield.
Now i'm not sure he is what we need now. Fred, Pogba and Matic I asume will be first choice. Herrera and Mctominay will get games too. I woukdnt say Dembele is better than Herrera tbh. Herrera is more mobile whike Dembele is more physical. Both good players on the ball and Herrera never shirks a tackle.
Plus Dembele is already touting himself to China and U. S apparentley. Wants one more big pay day.

Fantastic player, great in so many aspects of midfield play. However, his injuries are catching up with him now and he is on the decline. I think he would be better off heading to a less physical league. Seire A or La Liga maybe. But sadly I feel his time of being able to boss midfields every week in the EPL is coming to a close.
{Ed004's Note - I have to agree with Snappy here. Injuries are taking their toll on him and I'd rather recruit a youngster with a lot of potential. Realistically our midfield 3 will be Matic, Pogba and Fred with Herrera as experienced cover for all positions and McTominay cover as well. A Barella or Ndombele would be perfect for next season. If Jose rates him high enough then Perreira could assume this role}

I don't really see the point on going for players on the downward slope. We missed the boat when he would have been a good signing.
