I know people want to give Rashford and Martial chances but when they do get them and put in performances like at Brighton how can Jose or anyone justify playing them regular when the likes of Sanchez and Lukaku work rate alone warrants them being picked.
All season we've had rash and martial Not taking their chances unfortunately, how long do you persevere for.
DDG, Toni, young, Bailly, Matic, mctom, Herrera, Sanchez and RedRom, who else plays their heart out for the cause, not enough imo.

Agree1 Disagree2

If we are to stick with Jose, then I’d sell all players who are inconsistent or who just don’t try hard enough.

Martial, Pogba, Shaw, obvious candidates to go

Then, if they don’t get enough success, José will ha e no excuses.

Style of play aside, he’s done pretty well to get second place given inconsistencies displayed throughout the season.

Wrd both martial and rashford are young, they are not going to be consistent. I saw this tweet yesterday these are the dates last time rashford or martial played 2 consecutive games
Rashford - November 25.
Martial - January 20.

How exactly are they suppose to take chances when mourinho doesn't give them chances consistently, it is always stop start.

On the other hand take the 500k man, he has had 2 good games rest utter trash, but he runs around a lot so all is forgiven, but for rashford and especially martial if it ain't a world class performance then he is rubbish and not good enough. Martial's worst performance is nowhere near the rubbish that Sanchez served up against Tottenham away but he some how keeps his place for next few few games unlike martial who would have had to spend his next month on bench for that.

You talk about Brighton, what about yesterday or against westbrom neither started those games, is it fair to criticize only those 2 if they don't take their chances when older higher paid players are performing worse.

CSM - Same thing with Shaw. Regularly one of our best players when actually played, despite the fact he is messed around something chronic. Of course it's easy to jump on the weight bandwagon, but Rooney was similar and managers knew they had to play him regularly to keep sharp. Shaw on the other hand is having his weakness abused by the manager. It's an easy one to get the fans onside with as well if you are Jose and carry a grudge.

Everyone knows a footballer should be fit - but every footballer has a flaw, Shaw's is he struggles to keep fit, Martial's is he looks unbothered, Rashfords is he has poor decision making, Pogba's is he seems like he would rather pose for pictures than play with passion (there are many more of course) . Good managers identify the weaknesses of their players and work on them, our manager seems to relish highlighting their weaknesses publicly then using their weakness against them to justify his sub-par performance.

I'm sure many of our players would up their game if they knew their manager had their back, rather than seeming more pre-occupied with sticking the knife in. He only really does this with the easy targets of course, or if a big players kicks off publicly when he has no choice.

Most of our players know that they can play amazing and be dropped in preference for the big money boys next game, disgrace and no wonder many of them lack heart/ passion/ energy - they are on emotional rollercoasters and not equipped mentally to handle a supreme master at bullying and self preservation like Mourinho.

you do know that since jose has took over rashford has played the most, weather be from the bench or starting.

so he can't hate the kid that much.

11 May 2018 13:25:27
Neither of them have attitude problems, it's pretty simple - we signed a player to solely play the position the two had been rotating in the first half of the season. We signed said player for no other reason than he was available. Prior to said player taking up his position on the left wing against Tottenham, in the 24 PL games we played "outfield player of the year" Lukaku had amassed 11 goals and 5 assists in 1,994 minutes of action. That's pretty good going. Meanwhile, "disappointment of the season" Martial mustered only 9 goals and 4 assists in 1,087 minutes of action. Absolutely dreadful I must say.

Oh god, a post from Beast I 100% agree with.

11 May 2018 14:41:35
They’ve had chances weather consecutively or not and haven’t taken them, i don’t buy into the they play every game they will be amazing and look much better, someone said last week about players such as Solskjaer and Butt, they didn’t play every week yet did their job, tried hard and wasn’t sulking about, they played well, Martial and Rashford need to remember where they are playing and try giving it a go once in a while instead of not trying a leg. If they can’t take Jose having a pop then they need to man up quite frankly and prove him wrong, he’s given chances for them to do that and each time they’ve not delivered or when they have 1 game later they are back to normal, if your good enough, your old enough, be mid 20’s and people will be saying ‘still got youth on their side’ lol, time for them to step up.

11 May 2018 16:18:02
Jose doesn't hate Rashford he wants him to be a worldie and with patience and progression he will get there. Learning from Sanchez Lingard and Mata will maybe see him turned into a wider option . He has everything including time 😆😆.

11 May 2018 17:00:49
So wrd you are saying that only martial and rashford must consistently perform even if they get an inconsistent run but same standards don't apply to older players like Sanchez or Lingard or young.

11 May 2018 17:28:53
Bully 🤣🤣🤣. This isn't high school football Beast. Yhese guys are paid 100s of grands per week and should know how to take thubga on the chest and prove the manager wrong.

The only player i would feel a little sorry for is Shaw but none of us what goes on inside the ub for Mourinho to or the past 3 managers to treat him in the way they have.

11 May 2018 18:03:56
No where did I say that, but Rashford and martial have consistently underperformed when they’ve played. Sanchez isn't playing badly tbh and works his ass off at least if not playing to his best, Lingard last night was the bright spark and always tries his best, Herrera, Valencia, Young, Matic, Lukaku, all play well or if not try there best by leaving it all out there, sadly the same cannot be said for Rashford and particularly martial. We aren’t the best team to watch atm but if nothing else look like your trying and give a damn like the above named gentlemen, I’m sorry cz I know lots will disagree and I really hope Rashford comes back stronger, but these pairs perfomances are sub par mostly and that’s why they aren’t regularly in the team. They both have the ability in them I just question their attitude and application, again martial in particular.

11 May 2018 18:43:01
WRD yes but if any of us had the opportunity we would run through a brick wall to help the team. It doesn’t mean any of us would be any good.

Yes we all like to see players busting a gut for the team and Kante is a prime example of that type of player, but he has end product to his game. Just trying and putting in 100% isn’t really a defining characteristic of a world class player.

Would you prefer to have a striker/ winger that puts in 100% and scores/ assists every 3 games or one that appears to only put in 80% but scores/ assists every 2 games.

11 May 2018 19:09:46
Wrd besides the pointless running around how exactly were performances of martial and rashford any different from Sanchez and lingard's.

Heck you could atleast accuse martial of not working hard, rashford can't be criticized of that just that he has terrible judgement and bit of selfishness something Sanchez can accused of as well. You are just making things up as you go along here.
