Still buzzing from y'day.

It hasn't gone unnoticed to me that in the past couple of months we've twice managed to come from 2-0 down and win. Even more impressively both results came away from home and we also came from behind to beat Chelsea. So in the last few weeks we've managed to come from behind in some very important games and against two of our main rivals. These types of performances help to forge a real confidence and winning mentality throughout the squad. It helps to fuel a belief that we're never beaten and we're always in the game. The best sides are forged from these beliefs.

I think we saw y'day that Pogba and Sanchez can play together and it's no coincidence to me that in our biggest game, in our time of need our two most talented players dragged us back from the brink of a humbling and embarrassing defeat.

I accept that on occasions our football has been poor, we've looked disjointed, suffered some bad defeats (Sevilla hit me particularly hard) and we've been overly defensive but if we dare to look hard enough all the signs are there that Jose is slowly returning us into a top team.

Last year we had a long unbeaten run and he delivered two major trophies. This season we started well, played some good football and we're scoring goals. More recently we've started to win games coming from behind even away from home and against our biggest rivals. We haven't been able to do this since Fergi retired. Old Trafford is gradually becoming the fortress of old and this season we've now beaten City, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal.

It takes time to build a team. Jose inherited an unbalanced squad built haphazardly full of either ageing or average players with no character or personality. We'd lost all direction, become a shadow of our former selves and we're cruising into a period of apathy and mediocrity.

Jose has changed that and challenged the players to deliver more. Even Pogba, one of Jose players and our most expensive acquisition can't escape those standards.

Performances like y'day, whilst far from perfect are further proof that we're not that far away. He's building momentum, improving and whilst it's been a hard watch at times I urge patience and restraint. The signs are there if you just dare to believe them!

Great post Danny. Well done 👍.

{Ed004's Note - I think we are starting to see Jose settling on a team and formation as well. He will have specific targets in the summer to improve on our weak spots and I can only see us improving again next season}

Well said Ed004.
Most importantly I hope Pogba calms himself down and work out with Jose and that Pogba-Sanchez partnership strengthen. We can of course then reward Pogba with a better contract. Perform and you’ll be rewarded. Also captaincy to Pogba.
(All the players will have red hairstyles including the manager)? 🤣🤣🤣.

{Ed004's Note - If Pogba performed in every game like he did yesterday in that second half he would be the perfect captain. I think I celebrated his tackle on Otamendi more than his goals. It was good seeing a team that couldnt be bullied or pushed around}

I missed the game after we’re down 2 and watched golf. When I came back I was pleasantly surprised to see we’re up 3-2 🤣🤣🤣. Watched to highlights after that and felt so proud.
I totally agree with what you saying about Pogba. He has the potential of a great player and a leader (which I am sure the high profile he likes) .

666 you weren't the only one, ashamed to say I did the same. Only put it back on when I looked at my twitter and saw it was 2-2. Think we need to go and stand in the naughty corner for non believers.

Allan I didn’t give up as I told Slate.
I was rooting for Tiger coming back in golf and was hoping he would catch up from Rd3. Unfortunately he still WIP as is our football team 😉. By the time I came back we were already pleasantly up 3-2. Sad miss but happy we won.
Another issue is that I cannot stand hearing the pundits and commentators being so negative about us. Everyone hoping we lose but hey we disappointed them 👏🤣.
Anyway we’re still in 2nd place and need to maintain that till end of season and try to win the FA Cup. Must not be complacent.
