Just had a quick look on the Liverpool site to see what the general consensus is as I thought we were better first half and saw it out well 2nd half but it appears we only won because of the ref, they were by far the better team and our fans were a disgrace booing when Rashford went off.

The bitterness is brilliant, I work with quite a few scouse fans and I know how much they despise us / are extremely jealous of our success but their inability to accept when we are better than them is great. They thought they would win today and that we would 'Park the bus', something they are obsessed with. I think we have parked the bus once at home this season but don't let that get in the way.

Can't wait for work Monday!

Bitter beyond belief. Makes the victory even sweeter.

according to Emclbelred, one team are on its way up and one just covering cracks. he didn't mention who's who though.

GDS

I said on live chat as the game ended, even possibly before that, that Liverpool losing would not be down to anything other than the referee, they were robbed. It has happened in the press since the early 70’s, I was there when I think it was Ted McDougal scored but it was never that they deserved to lose just they were always robbed of victory. I can’t believe that no one in the media picks up on this, headlines effectively shout “robbed”, they should have had (insert number of penalties) . Tomorrow they will truly believe they shouldn’t have lost, didn’t lose.

Insert possession stats, means they deserved to win 3-2, people just don’t understand, heavy metal football determines the result, not the number of goals.

How many of these games result in the referee robbed them, it’s so unfair. They are also allowed to say this, march down the touchline and shout it. Next they will demand a meeting with the head of referees to ensure they get penalties they think they deserve, regardless whether it is a penalty or not. It is a state of mind that is not helping them but festers.

In reality we beat the press, instead of being caught in midfield possession allowing them to break on us we lifted it over their press, put pressure on their defence, found the holes, but how could we, it just isn’t football. We must pass it round and allow them to close us down, win the ball back and attack our defence.

By tomorrow we will not have won in the press, it will be a travesty.

We won and that’s it, but people should know you can’t be seen to beat Liverpool.

Strong win for you guys, gave Liverpool a lesson in cynical football. Liverpool was not in the game from the start, and United tok advantage of that. Very solid defending after 2-0, but if the game was the other way around, you guys would feel the same.

A lesson in clinical football you mean njoy cynical.

Stoupid,

If we got absolutely hammered in the first half like you did today i would accept that we gave ourselves too much to do and not try and blame it on some nonsense refereeing decisions.

Absolutely spot on red man, I said it last night to sole Liverpool fans that I was expecting the txt today saying it was all because of the Ref, according to them we have only ever won anything because of decisions we got, absolutely deluded but no talking to them, they genuinely believe it.

Yeah clinical ofc ( autocorrect ) sry. i'm left with a weird feel, like Liverpool lost to a better team tonight. But i also kinda feel we should have gotten away with a point when you look at all the small things like first goal Lukaku is offside when De Gea hits the ball, agree? Valencia using the arm to stop a low cross into the box, that's to me a clear pen. Or is that just my Liverpool eyes seeing that? Fellaini could have made a pen there ( not saying it is, but its debateable) and Salah could easily have gotten a Pen when Young ( who was outstanding btw ) held him with both arms. But the match as a whole i agree you guys deserved the win.

Offside goal? Lukaku was not offside when heading the ball, or maybe I watched a different game.

So you wanted three penalties?

Valencia handball, have seen given as a pen by some referees so I can agree, though that brings contradiction.

The thing is for a lot of Liverpool fans, it's always not their players not performing well or they need to improve everytime they lost a game. It's always the referee is against them, teams are not playing the right tactics.

Mates if it was done on ManUtd at Anfield not sure how many scousers would come here saying what they are saying. It’s always tinted glasses and plain bitter and sour grapes and never about they being outplayed by tactical class. That’s why Kloppity is now alluding to saying the “bad” style of play from ManUtd. Laughable.
ManUtd fans are hard on our players but will give credit where due. Reason being we have been champion for a long period of time during SAF reign and now starting from scratch with Jose. Jose is not getting a free ride but has done well rebuilding the team.
So I have given up trying to clear the scousers tinted glasses clear. Obviously there are some very good scousers fans but that’s another story.

Lukaku may well have been in an offside position when De Gea kicked the ball, but you can't be offside from a goal kick so it wouldn't matter.

11 Mar 2018 08:34:36
Stoupid. the name suits. what have I read above 😂😂.

Celtic,

Glad someone cleared that one up before I got to read his nonsense, offside from a goal kick, amazing 😂😂😂.
