I'm a United supporter so I want to win both, the moment we start deciding which is more important and where to place our eggs we will start to decline.
Not once did Sir Alex ever value one game over another. Our target should be to win everything, that doesn't happen unless you go into every game with the same desire to win.

I think it was a hypothetical question shappy.
Shappy that's bs. Fergie rested players before important games as he was prioitising one result over another.
Of course he wanted to win both games but he took risks like all managers do in order to keep players fresh for a bigger game.

Completely agree with Ken here. You have to have a pland to manage games and prioritise certain games.
If it was a straight choice i'd say Win against Sevilla and draw against Liverpool although all of us would want to win both games but the Liverpool games are always quite cagey and anything could happen because of the emotions involved.
We definitely ne3d to win against Sevilla or that is the end for us this year in champions league.

The first line is hypothetical question. My argument is that as a United supporter I could never wish for anything but a win against Liverpool. However, due to poor thinking of going for a 0-0 draw against Sevilla in the away leg we are now in a position where we have to win against Sevilla or we are out.
If I wanted to be a smart arse I would have said a win against Liverpool and a 0-0 draw against Sevilla with an penalty shoot out win. Which officially means we drew the game as the full time whistle has blown. lol.
