1 day until our biggest game of the season. I usually hate the Liverpool game it has rarely been entertaining the last few years and the hype is laughable before the game. Just wanted to see how people would like us to setup up or think how we will setup?

I would like to see us go with 3 at the back because we have looked shaky in a back 4 in recent weeks. A back 3 of bailly, lindelof and Rojo would be ideal but I think smalling will play instead of him. The wing backs are very important for us and would like to see shaw and Valencia there. Mane and Salah are their most dangerous players so pushing our wingbacks higher up the pitch to nullify their wingers would be the best way forward. We would have sufficient protection of the back 3 behind with matic offering further protection.

I would play matic and pogba in a midfield two. I know we have been overrun in games with a two in midfield but with the 3 behind I think we have enough cover. I would would love to see mata play centrally in the no 10 position. He changed the game when he came on and is one of the few players in our team that retains the well. In the big games possession is so important and Sanchez gives it away far too much. However I think Sanchez will start centrally. The front two would be Lukaku and martial however you can make a case for rashford who played well coming on against palace. His desire, pressing and workrate could be key in harrying Liverpool cbs and goalkeeper who is still shaky.

I don’t think Jose will go with this team and expect him to go with a back 4 with young at left back and a midfield 3 with McTominay, similar as against Chelsea. If young plays at left back Salah will tear him to shreds so I really hope Jose doesn’t play him. Liverpool do have weaknesses at their full backs and if we get at them and put the ball in the box to Lukaku there will be opportunities. The key is to involve Lukaku in the game and get him service because he is in a rich vein of form and he is looking a very threatening.

Anyway would love to hear everyone’s view Eds included.

352 is not a bad shout, like Chelsea at home last season. But one thing is for sure, Young vs Salah will not end well, but then again, i wouldn't have Shaw up against him either, bit of a conundrum. Feeling confident anyhow, 2-1 United!

I'm predicting a drab nervy game and 2-1 to the scouse.

I agree on packing the midfield Park.
And I don't think young will be destroyed by Salah. I think people are listening to much to the hype surrounding Liverpool front three and not giving much notice to what our front three can cause them.

3 nil united. 84% possession and klipperty to be sent off.

Been on the sauce early ken ;) . AAA I’m unsure about young he showed against spurs as soon as he comes up against decent opposition he struggles. He’s just not a defender. He’s picked because he follows instructions and supposedly has better offensive qualities than shaw. Not saying shaw is amazing because he hasn’t shown that. But young doesn’t get to the bye line and put a ball in. He’s so predictable and always cuts onto his right, often slowing the play down. When he puts a good ball in then it’s usually better than anyone else but he doesn’t do it enough. I think it will be a tight and nutty gritty affair. I’m leaning towards a draw if I’m honest. But interested to see how Jose sets up.

Jose things young is better than shaw and has favoured him most of the season and young has done ok in the main.
Coleman had a double leg break at least as bad as shaws and he is back playing as well as ever looks in great shape, its a shame shaw has not been able to do the same.
