First time poster so go easy on me. I have supported United through thick and thin since the mid 70s and today was one of the most frustrating games I have watched. The players are getting paid a fortune and don't look interested with some imo not really trying we have spent a fortune on players and again imo have only 2 world class players in ddg and Sanchez. Since saf retired we have become boring to watch and I can't see it changing in the near future.

Totally agree - there is more to football than winning ugly and spending records amount of money doing so.

For the first time ever I am starting to see where those people I'd occasionally come across in a pub are coming from, the ones that would say "11 overpaid Premadonas running around kicking a ball, don't know why you bother watching it". I used to pity those clowns, but I am starting to come around to their way of thinking. Believe me for that to happen things have got to be pretty damn awful.

Most fans live for the day they can get to the position we find ourselves in with Utd now, that's probably why this waste is hurting so much. We should be loving the club spending big money, hiring world class managers, football on almost every day to watch - but it's just boring, almost meaningless! If you don't like the players, don't like the manager, don't like the owners, don't like the executive management - how much weight can history and personal reflection seriously take? It's like my best mate has started hanging with the wrong crowd, maybe time to cut him loose.

Welcome to the site ltr :)

Got to say though, the last couple of years under SAF were no picnic either, what with Fletcher being the midfield pivot and cleverly was coming next so.
