Fascinating article today, in Manchester's daily, on our club's transfer ambitions. City are being relentless, what they need they go and get.

City go after Sanchez, however on the red side, Özil has been informed his best chance of coming to Utd is to run his contract down (no promises we will buy him mind you) but we are unwilling to pay anything for him this month.

Apparently Jose wanted, wants a winger and a midfield player this month. He believes Malcolm is a gem, yet the two club's after him don't include us. We need to start being aggressive and relentless, is the conclusion, basically what some of us say on here, otherwise we won't catch up.

However, how on earth will we ever retain our top spot in the asset value league if we spend much, especially in January?

Maybe we can cheer ourselves up by laughing at City offering free tickets to local schools for tonight's game because they can't sell them. Well we laughed at their football team for years but we don't now.

Maybe we could put our dummies back in and stop sulking because United like most other teams haven't spent 1 billion in the first week of the January transfer markets .

Have a listen to the sharkpod as well.

Come on Red Man United have out spent most clubs and gone out to buy the best players in the league for decades. The team is solid and yes of course fans would like to see an Ozil or a Sanchez join but the squad at the moment is one of the best in the world.

As jred states above chuck that dummy back in your hole and look at the real problems. The real problem is their is too many talented managers in the top end of the PL with finances to boot that Jose cannot buy the league no matter what players he has at his disposal as his style stinks of negativity.

Let’s see how committed our owners are, let’s see if they surprise us. I hope I am wrong and they really deliver. Interesting that defenders of the owners seem to work harder at this time of year.

Interesting to see you out of the woodwork in the transfer window.

Our Squad is big and decent, however, the quality in the first team is lacking. The problem is years of inaction in transfer windows and recently trying to play catch up, if we don’t buy well, then we need to get used to watching others win the big prizes.

Red Man hasn’t all the City players who have been on top form this season and Chelsea players who win the title last season who have performed to the best level transfers from the past 2 seasons or so?

Good posts red man. Fair points in there. Others moaning (as per usual)

Let's support the team .
It's becoming very obvious you will only be happy when we spend more than every team in the world not just 99%
It's all about spend spend spend

That God you don't support a team like stoke, Leeds or accrington stanley.

I supported United when we bought Ted McDougal from Bournemouth so don’t be so patronising

Obviously you are happy with second best as long as we don’t spend the money the club has earned, maybe you have reasons for that. However my ambition is to have the best team not the best asset value,

Yer but I bet you moaned like hell about it .

Maybe I'm just not a spoilt fan?

If I did it would have been justified given what happened shortly after. I recall being told then by older United fans and it was reported that the board had refused to buy the top players requested by the manager, blinded by the idea all would be well and another set of babes would save us without having to spend. I was spoilt then, spoilt with relegation. I think you are the spoilt one who doesn’t appreciate the position we built in the SAF years and frittered, you continue defending the reticence to spend for some unknown reason. We didn’t learn from the Busby transition nor from the reticence to spend to keep a position of power. At least now we have done enough to compete around the top.
With that goodnight I have the usual early start tomorrow.

No I support my team win lose and draw and appriciate the fact that my team are able and in a position to win titles and buy great players. Not all of them costing millions .

Can't win everything every year but overall it's been a great journey supporting United.

It's not about titles and million dollar players for me .

Stop up voting your own posts jred, it’s too obvious.

Great post redman. Hard to argue with you.

Lol fzz.

Redman is this woodwork you speak of the same woodwork you hit your head against while spouting the same old drivel. Open your eyes this is 2018 not 2013.

Lol that must be it.

10 Jan 2018 09:09:59
Why bother paying for Ozil now for us to finish top 4 when he can come for nothing in 5 months and start the season afresh where he is not cup tied. Perhaps Jose doesn’t even want him! Perhaps Ozil wants to play elsewhere?

Unless we sell Miki this month a move for him makes no sense at all.

10 Jan 2018 09:13:37
Gds? Wrong post.

10 Jan 2018 15:05:39
Should of been fzz.
