No chance Danny, he is one of the few players we have that can beat a man and make things happen. In the current make you'd have to spend all of that 80m to replace him with no guarantees that who we buy would perform better.
If we are to improve we need to keep our better players. Martial is definitely one of them.

I think mbappe and martial have very simillar potential but mbappe is embracing/ realising his potential at a faster pace than martial.

Issue with Martial is if he plans on staying at the club long term. £80m for a player that might not sign a new contract could be tempting. Jose was open to letting him leave during the summer, so I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves over the next few years.

Dermot Gallagher deemed it petulant and I said the same before. I think it was like a "get off of me" handbags. Has to be seen as dangerous or intending to cause injury. I don't see that now or at the time. I'm not surprised the board couldn't agree. Personally I think he could do with a rest, that being said the Arsenal game would be open and may suit him nicely.
In regards to Martial. What good is £80m to us unless invested on an equally useful player for the attack. Personally I would add to what we have, not swap. Only swap fringe squad players for top first XI additions.

Ummm maybe, Martial is a talent, but seems to go hot and cold. Richarlison at Watford looks a real talent. Maybe we will see how good tonight? £80 million from Madrid and £30 million on him if Martial is unhappy?

I really like him, he's fantastic with the ball at his feet. His dribbling skills are great and his finishing is normally cool and reliable. My reservation's are his positioning and movement off the ball. I think there are also questions about his work rate and desire. I have absolutely no doubt of his talent but does he has the mental attributes to succeed?!
Let's be honest he's still very young with bags of room and time for improvement.
Hypothetically speaking If £80m was on the table and I was the manger I'd probably give it serious consideration and look at what else was available. If I had to sell to get Greizman I probably would. We still have Rashford who performs a similar role, Lukaku is still young and we'd be getting one of the best attackers in Europe entering their peak years.

He’s got huge talent but after his first season we have rarely seen it. He has been given some starts and is yet to impress for me. Rashford and Martial both have huge potential but right now they are below par, Martial has been below par for a long time.

I don't know what to make of Martial. It seems like he plays with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He is no doubt talented and at times can be unplayable but I agree with Danny about an offer like that on the table. It seems to me he would be an ideal replacement for Benzema for Madrid and it probably isn't ever going to happen for him at United or for us as fans.

Both martial and rashford can be a bit inconsistent but they have alternated between them for much of the season the same position and the goals yield between them is pretty good . Whether playing left side is rite for them is a debate regarding delivery but they do offer a goal threat . Greizeman hasn't pulled up many trees on the pitch this season.
Martial shows enough to me to think that could come back to bite us in the arse one day if we sold him I hope we stick with him . If we got similar results goals wise from the right as we do the left we would be pretty potent .

Of course Martial and Rashford are going to be inconsistent. They're kids. They're trying to do it in the toughest league in the world on a weekly basis, not Ligue 1.
