Thank you Chris Coleman for all you've done, bizzare move for me Sunderland but good luck. I see that Giggsy is fave for the Welsh job, I guess we've a history of appointing untested managers so maybe it'll be good for him. Or maybe as one Ed predicts Pulis will be sacked after defeat today and it'll be him.
Know it's not united related but thoughts on Giggs as an international manager?

Agree1 Disagree0

I though Giggs had just taken a job?

WRD - Coleman strikes me as a bit sharper and certainly a lot more experienced than Giggs (managed overseas and 2 British clubs) . I appreciate Coleman isn't the best manager in the world but he has charisma and will have learnt from mistakes he made during his earlier years managing.

I wouldn't touch Giggs with a bargepole, for him to have not had a job since retiring strikes me as a flaky, I imagine as soon as the going gets tough he will simply walk away - he clearly has illusions of how capable he is. International Managers don't get much time with their players, so it requires a strong personality, decisiveness and passion, which I think Giggs lacks. He also doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the box, so with a lack of experience, lack of umpfh, it is a pure lottery. He'd be learning as he goes and Wales are in a great position, would be a shame for the players you have at the minute to be wasted by somebody so inexperienced.

Pulis would be by far the better option imo, i'd rather Robbie Savage than Giggs and that's saying something.

Yeah saw summat about Giggs going somewhere, can’t even recall, he’s fave with the bookmakers atm, Pulis would be a safe pair of hands imo, agree their beast. Unsure what to make of Giggs, maybe would bring a diff style to wales but is a big risk isn’t it. We shall see.

I like coleman as a manager and would take him in a heartbeat for the england job as we have now exhausted all possible english managers.

Giggs (who is an absolute UTD legend to me) is deluded if he thinks he's up to the wales job. Who in their right mind takes an international managers job with no managerial experience!?!?!

Although its a win-win for giggs because if he does well then great and if he's abysmal then its no different from the other british teams and their managers over the years.

Well others have gone into international management before club management. Wales have a history of that sort of appointment.
