I have a feeling we might see some transfer activity more than usual In January. There are a few players with contract issues at the club that if they are not signing new deals will be mafe available for sale and there may well be a couple that force a move due to world cup ambitions. also there are a couple of players we have been linked with that are potentially available in Jan. So perhaps a couple of fresh faces to come in and freshen things up and improve options in key areas.
Our wide play has been poor particularly the last 5 or 6 games and lukaku needs that type of service.
Martial has a glorious talent. I know his form as a young player will blow hot and cold my wish for him is to get a 10 game starting run to see if his decision making improves. But he does frustrate me and i agree with neville in terms of he looks like he doesn't give 100% all the time.
Miki is having a tough time and in the 4231 its such a key role and since pogba has been injured his form has dipped badly same can be said of lukaku.
Having a player like oogba always available, making runs, drawing 2 markers creating space is hard to replace
City as jred says are on fire i'm sure they will have a wobble we have to get back on track now to keep on their coat tails and take advantage when they slip.
But for me we have to improve in wide areas.

I hope we see some world class players come in, but a lot will depend on firstly how secure Jose is, secondly the money we have to throw around and thirdly availability. Griezzmann has to be a nailed on signing for me.
In terms of City - the answer in beating them is to fight fire with fire. They are weak defensively yet everyone is terrified of attacking them for obvious reasons, it's very much what we were like back in the day, but their defence is nowhere near as good as ours was when we looked this good going forward! I think it's a confidence game with them, if you show no fear and go for it then you are more likely to get something than just applying the nullifying anti-football tactics we seem to adopt against half decent teams.

Good posts guys. Agree with beast we must strengthen in January and I think griezmann is a must. The guy is class and although some people prefer bale (don’t know why he is so injury prone), I think he’s that world class game changer we are missing.
Beast you make a good point regarding attacking city. Teams have sat back and allowed them to run rings on them. I think the way spurs play is the perfect way to counter city. They press higher up the pitch but also have a solid defensive unit. Interested to see if we invest heavily in January as there seems to be rumours this will be one of our biggest.

So we admit we lack width an everyone says griezmann. Who isn't a wide player. I for one hope that ed2 is right.
{Ed002's Note - At this time Manchester United have considered four different left wingers that I am aware of - all with varying levels of viability. They will continue to look such that they then have the best options available. It is the same with other clubs and it is the same in different positions.}

Greizman will not solve our problems. We need width and creativity. He goes missing in matches and I guarantee will flop if we bought him.
