Yesterday's game just got me thinking. I believe most of the fans on here won't agree with me on this. Fellaini. I can't count the number of times he has played and made an impact on the game. Can you guys remember how many times he has been the best player on the pitch. He may not possess the "class" of a Manchester United player but he does have the heart of a Manchester United player. He was by far the best player on the pitch yesterday.

Shan. I'm his worst critic and I wanted him gone. But you're absolutely right in that he gives his all and recently, he's also been very good for the team. Less clumsy and more measured. Maybe Jose has had a word with him? But last night, he was the most effective player in our team.

May be the manager's confidence publicly is rubbing off. He even tried and executed a back heel yesterday. That cheer from the crowd was unreal. He is not the most fancy but still very effective.

I would have given any man utd fan a run for his money on the hatred i had for fellaini - i was fuming when we brought him.

But latter lvg era and all jose era i can't fault him at all. he's refined his game by which i mean 1 red card in 3 years - not the dirty player we brought under moyes and his attitude on the pitch is second to none really.

Just class attitude and love for utd - did not c it comin but i love him as a utd player now.

He gives the manager a different option is always a handful, always gives a 100 %.
He was good at Everton,1 of the few who did ok under lvg and has been a part of Jose plans from day 1.
The abuse he has good over the last few year from fans is ridiculous.

Fellaini was brilliant last night. He was all over the pitch making things happen. He showed real heart and desire. He was even sprinting to close down the opposition when we were 3-0 up.

The support he got from the crowd was great to see, especially after being booed last season which was a bloody disgrace.

Can anyone remember a bigger change in the supporters' attitude towards a player at Utd?

I am a critic of Fellaini in that he is limited. He had a good game last night however he did what he does best when coming on as a sub and who were the opposition?

I have said since he arrived that used in and around the box he is a real handful as he was at Everton. If you take a look at the 4.4 game against us in circa 2012 he was devastating for them, we couldn't handle him around the penalty area. However, if you expect him to control a midfield as part of a central two, move the ball at pace then it won't work against better opposition. I found myself agreeing with Gerrard last night (the sick sinking feeling improved this morning) when he said almost exactly that. He said in midfield Fellaini caused no concern or issue, they just went round or past him but in the box he could be devastating.

I am fine with Fellaini as plan B, the sub who will cause real problems in the opposition box but do not see him as the answer in central midfield.

Lastly how about some praise for the manager for his handling of him.

Lol it's all down to Jose.
Fellaini is doing what he has been doing his whole career for everton United and Belgium.

Jose deserve credit for being able to see what fellaini brings to the table even when some fans couldn't.

"I keep saying the same about Fellaini. He is a player with special qualities and he gives me multiple areas of action, " said Mourinho after Tuesday's game. "He is one of my most important players. "

Same can be said of ibra jose sees what some fans dont. But you don't copy and paste his compliments to ibra because you don't agree.

Ken
Not really Ken I think ibra done a job last season most people know that but we needed a different type of striker to move forward and we have seen that .
As a free agent for the last few month off the season ibra can offer some cover if required . I don't think we will need him that much .

Done a job for us last season and got Injured, not a great place to be torn ACL and no club or contract so the club have stood by the player .
His agent said last week he wouldn't be back until January and Jose has said today no reason to rush back .
Might come in handy for the last few month might not.

Redman, I don't think anyone is suddenly tipping Fellaini to be a first choice midfielder for us but I think last night he showed a lot more quality than many thought he had (including me) and maybe he won around a lot of supporters.

I don't think he will fare as well against some of the top teams with more accomplished midfields but I think he is a great option to add some bite and steel when we need to be setting about lesser teams and breaking them down.

MancMan

Agree, as long as we see Fellaini for what he really is and are not blinded by performances in easier games.
