Question for everyone. With the eds confirming we have interest in both Perisic and Bale, who would people prefer?
For me it's Bale. As much as his injury record has been patchy over the past couple of years he is better than Perisic and has the ability to win games on his own.
Perisic may fit in with the type of player we need more than Bale but it's hard to overlook what Bale has done compared to Perisic.

I don't know what happened to Bale's fitness. It's almost like Real Madrid put him on some steroid training regime and yes he's turned into a beast, but it's like it's messed up his body. He gets injured very easily. Listen if Perisic is going to cost £50m and Bale £90m. Maybe it's worth paying the difference for Bale. Similar age. Wages would be significantly more for Bale, but we were paying Rooney a Messi salary for years when he was producing Djemba Djemba performances. Bale can play RB, LB, LW, RW, CAM. He'd install fear into opponents. And more importantly it comes down to this. Forget the money.

Exactly, I think sometimes we act like the club CEO and not the manager. Forget the money. Think of which you'd prefer out of the two players. I don't know much about Perisic, but like Jred said Bale is proven in EPL. He is versatile and makes far more sense to me. If we are looking at a winger/ forward, RB and LB, then I'd buy just Bale and use Valencia/ Mensah and Shaw/ Darmian.

Bale transfer to United has all the makings of a Di Maria part 2. A player who doesn't want to be here and is being forced out of Real to make way for their new Galactico. Not to mention that Eds have said that Bale has a situation medically and is a risk. Perisic for me.

Bale is far more professional that Di Maria. If he were two move here he would give 100%. He's an honest footballer. Let's be honest tho, this is never going to happen so pointless thinking about it really.

Periodic 40+ games a season, Bale 20+ and more than double the price with wages.
Perisic for me, at least he's on the pitch to help the team.

Bale every day of the week, he would be a massive coup, inject some real world class quality and fear as mentioned. Perisic would just be a hmm, so what signing, maybe he'd do well, but a bit of a Pedro type deal.

How much do people know about Perisic? The odd game on tv, a bit of you tube? Gareth Bale is one of the worlds top players, a player who takes a team to the next level, has premier league experience. He is not an ordinary player, playing in Serie A, he has made a difference, part of a team that wins Champions Leagues. I cannot believe some would chose someone who may not take to the premier league over a proven top level player. For me it's down to ambition, and it's Bale by a country mile, Bale takes the team to a level Perisic can't.

have to dsagree redman bale when he left spurs yes but last season average at best when he was not on the treatment table he is greedy and not a team player peresic when i have watched croatia has been there best player by a mile whether at wingback or left winger and is a team player if i had to choose peresic just because he is a team player.

I like Perisic but the only time he would be Croatia's best player would be if Luka Modric wasn't on the pitch.
