Alexis Sanchez. This year alone he's been seen laughing when his team concede a goal (only he knows the context), has feigned a Rivaldo-like injury going down holding his face when the ball clearly hit him in the shoulder - and still tried to lie to the world by posting a picture of a pathetic cut on his lip, and now he's got "flu" on the day he's supposed to be returning to work with his employer - again posting a pathetic picture which incidentally he did the last time he lied to the world.
These are just the things that we know about, no doubt there's more gone on behind the scenes. He seems a very fickle individual and this could be why Jose hasn't gone for him.
Shame because he's a great player.

Completely agree Wazza, I commented on the Arsenal page that he might be worth £50'M but he seems like an unpleasant character.

I think it is probably because he doesn't want to come here, one of the best if not the best player in his position in the league Ina position we need to strengthen. We would surely be all over him if we thought we had the slightest chance.

Agreed jaimej79, a player like a. sanchez cannot be overlooked so there is a reason we rnt in for him and its prob as simple as he diesnt want to come to utd.
Really hope city don't sign him though.

Why don't the very best players want to come here?
We pay more money than anybody in wages as well, more to agents, show them if it doesn't work we will let them go for less than we paid. One of the best stadiums in the world, Manchester has many benefits as well. Clearly the persuaders aren't good enough.

Last summer we signed the hottest transfer prospect in Pogba, and the No.1 player in Germany Miki, this summer we were front of the queue to get Griezmann, (i think we still will next summer) that's 2 summers in a row we're after the best.
I agree with a load of your insights and your right that some of the great players may not want to come here but let's not be silly and start crying POOR POOR ME.
There are obviously world class players that wouldn't sign even if we paid triple their wages and had a stadium that housed 1 million. I personally don't want Sanchez, but if Bale is on the move we'll definitely be in for him so I believe your more wrong than right.
This is certainly not a pro Woodward post, I'd like someone better than him.
