In terms of players shirt numbers and captaincy, do we expect any changes? Some good numbers available - 7, 9, 10.

Lukaku will surely get 10, at least that's what he had at Everton. Would like to see Martial get his 9 back and stop sulking if he does.

I thought the toys out the pram strop from Martial was a bit OTT and someone should have had a word with him, preferably with a slap around the head. he registered the Martial9 as a trademark then got all girly fit when Ibra came and took it . one decent season son, get your head down and get on with it.
All that off field image nonsense can be the death of a decent career.
Having said that, good management would be now to offer him the no9 and hope that gives him a boost - to be fair to Rashford he has done more to merit choosing a number than Martial but I would give Martial that no 9 and say show us you deserve it.

Bolger -it was widely reported 12 months a go Martial had wanted to go the CR7 route and do the same with Martial9 or some such nonsense and started the process of doing so - when Ibra came Ibra took no 9 of course and Martial was unhappy about it . that's the story, true or not who knows?

The last team I played for before hanging up my boots had a player who used to get moody if he couldn't wear number 5. Possibly because it was the largest shirt and he was our Anderson.
I don't get the fuss about numbers myself.
