Eds can we have a poll on United's next captain.

Personally I think Herrera all day long.

{Ed033's Note - Who did you think are the options are to vote on for the captaincy?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pogba, Herrera, Valencia, De Gea.

{Ed004's Note - I would include Pogba in that - I think he will eventually inherit the arm band}

08 Jul 2017 10:47:50
Ashley Young.

Can't have the captain of united doing all them dance moves.
Pogba still seems more class clown than club captain.

08 Jul 2017 11:21:18
Better a dancing captain than one slumped over in a taxi or with a fag in 1 hand and bottle of beer in another.
I agree ed that pogba may get it in the medium turn.
I think carrick will assume the club captain role with Herrera and valencia taking the armband more often than not on the field. I also think ddg is a good option.

{Ed004's Note - De Gea probably deserves it but I've reservations handing it to a keeper. Is he going to run half the pitch every time we need to discuss something with the ref? If so he will get a tonne more bookings as keepers always get booked when they run out to a situation}

Herrera. Valencia. Carrick. Pogba. Dea gea.

Ken
Yawn here we go again we all know you hate the bloke give it a rest .
If pogba achieves half of what Rooney has at united I will be happy.

Not ready to be club captain tho.

08 Jul 2017 12:15:47
He has a point though jred. If we are talking about how club captains act, the last one wasn't exactly great.

But I think herrera is ahead of pogba in terms of leadership.

08 Jul 2017 12:18:27
DDG seems far too quiet for me. In fact my major and only criticism is that he isn't a leader back there.

I'd give it to Herrera, no other contenders.

Which is quite concerning in a way.

08 Jul 2017 12:43:24
We are talking about the next captain just another chance to slag a player off.

Not pogba for me still a young lad and acts like one.
Also only been at the club 5 minutes after walking out .

But he is a fancy name.

08 Jul 2017 12:52:22
I suppose it depends on what Jose thinks. If he decides pogba is fit for captaincy, I'll back him!

08 Jul 2017 13:06:06
Pogba has the game and stature to be a future captain tho but his game and probably attitude needs to mature imo.

{Ed004's Note - Jose seems to agree with you. Taken from the official Manutd site

'When asked whether the club's record signing has the qualities to be a captain, the United manager said: "I think he has. He has the charisma, the ambition, the mentality and he’s a good professional, so I think he has. Being so young and having all the ingredients, I think he can do it."'

Also quotes from Robson online saying he reckons he could be one in the future. Although for next season my personal preference would be Herrera, Carrick, Pogba and then Valencia in that order)}

I commented the other day that I think pogba is having to change his game and role in the team .
He seems to be in the process of going from a young lad with loads of potential but little responsibility on the pitch to being the main man, for club and country .
It takes time but that's where he is going imo.

08 Jul 2017 14:01:58
Agreed jred. Has it all except the maturity. But that can only come with more games and age.

08 Jul 2017 13:23:27
Angle
I would back who ever the captain was .

Ed4 yer I think he could be a future captain as long as he stays for a while .

{Ed004's Note - Hopefully that's the case}

08 Jul 2017 14:56:30
Never said you wouldn't jred?

08 Jul 2017 21:36:48
Herrera. Hands down.
