It goes without saying United need a really good wide player with a little bit of sparkle and for me that player is right under our nose. I would like to see us go for Riyad Mahrez.
Yes it looks like the Gunners are circling and who knows Barcelona may revive their interest but if Jose or the coaching staff can get him back to the levels he played at 12 months ago then what a player United would have on its hands.

Not for me, a worse Nani. He needs too much space and we don't get space. Plus he is Leicester's primary creative outlet, he wouldn't be that for us, so would be even more anonymous.
He lacks a football brain in my opinion as well.

Biggest negative against him is that he didn't bother trying last year when not happy with the manager. Doesn't have the right attitude to be a top class player.

would be a great signing but we have Mata and Micki and Jesse, not sure if we need to strengthen righr wing so much I got a feeling Jesse will up his game this season and surprise a lot of people.

Good player I agree. I like him a lot. Wouldn't mind signing him at all. Skillful winger. Does he track back enough for Jose though.

I also dislike his attitude. Any player that downs tools for a manager should not be in our thoughts.

I like Mahrez, but I don't think he fits into a typical "Mourinho" system. I also wonder if he is the kind of player who looks great in an average side but fades in a top side. He certainly didn't grab the bull by the horns last season and pulled Leicester out of their funk. Maybe he is the kind of player who does well when the going is good but struggles when the chips are down.
Either way I think there must be concerns about him at several of the traditional big clubs. Arsenal are the only ones linked with him, and it's a pretty weak link. Chelsea, City, ourselves, Liverpool even Spurs and Everton aren't really linked with him. Does no one at these clubs rate him?
My dream choice for a new winger would be Yannick Ferreira Carrasco. I think he would really lift this team. A Mourinho type player and a Manchester United type player. Will be hard to get him though with Atletico's transfer ban.
