How much of Fabinho have you seen? Matic is a proven winner in this league, highly rated by most. Much smaller risk. Jose knows his capabilities well. The knowledge of some on here astounds me, are you a French football scout?

Thing is Fresh, you don't need to be a scout to rate a player or not. Matic i agree is a winner in the premier league, but he's knocking on in age.
It's Joses call and whatever happens in the market i will be here next season simple as that. I am not worried who we sign or don't sign.

Knocking on? He's in his peak years, look at Carrick still capable in that role. Fabinho isn't even a DM by trade he's a right back converted, I know who I'd rather out the 2 or if Maticinho was his name, cost a bomb from a foreign league would that be better?

Personally i hope we sign both. Matic is an Expert I his position very tidy and disciplined in his roll. Fabhino has a higher ceiling imo and is also a great right back with the potential to be the best rb out there. Great technically and has most of the top attributes you would want in any player.
At this moment in time matic is a better cdm than fabhino imo.
Id love both to be honest.
I also think tfm has a lot of potential as posted above.
Matic has been pivitol in chelsea midfield in their 2 title winning seasons. Over shadowed a little last season by kante but was a crucial member last season nonetheless
Matic is miles better as a cdm than herrera pogba fellaini none of whom play that roll naturally and it takes away from the positives of their natural game.
Matic may not be the name or come with the attributes some people want but if he does a job that allows us to get more from others such as pogba herrera miki martial then he will be worth his weight in gold. 28 is not old. What age is miki herrera ibra sanchez that a few are clamouring for?
Matic could well be the right man in the right place at the right time.

Jose's building a team to win things this year, bringing in people he knows (perhaps perisic, morata, Matic) that can do a job immediately, without needing time to adapt. He's evaluated the current squad also, given some a year to prove themselves, and knows who he can trust to implement what he wants. Hence why I reckon he'll let Rooney, Shaw and Martial go.
More about how the team works together than the quality of an individual. Gurss he could bring in people who will be ready at a later stage but I think he's impatient to do well this year (great record doing well season 2) so wants his team ready from the off also.

So every player past 28 might aswell hang up there boots then. He's professional footballer who trains ever day, have a fitness coach and dietician getting the very best out of him to perform at the top level daily, you may feel like your knocking on but i'm sure Matic doesn't. Wallace i'm torn on martial. He is a great talent and i think will go on to have areally good career.
However i don't see him and jose working together they seem to have polar personalities. I might be wrong and in many ways hope i am but martial could be sold if jose gets the bodies he is looking for.
One thing for sure and that's if martial is going to be a starter for jose he will have to change his ways to suit the manager because jose won't be changing to suit martial.

Agree Ken: I'd love Martial to be a success at United but he's only shown glimpses of his match-winning abilities last season. Jose wants a harder worker who will put more of a shift in. Hopefully he'll give him another chance to do this but, if not, he could well be off next year - if not sooner if Perisic comes in.
