I suspect woodie will leave United's pre season games on a private jet to sign a player that's not even up for sale or having no attention of leaving his club. Just a hunch.

Not sure I would be that bothered if we didn't sign anyone else. I think we have an exciting crop of players at the moment. Of course, it doesn't hurt to improve; but I can't see shelling out 80 odd million of a guy who hasn't done a great deal in the game to warrant such a sum of money being a great signing. Sure, Morata has good qualities; and I don't doubt he would score goals, but I for one still think we have two genuine top draw strikers in Rash and Martial; and I for one would rather see the pair of them fight it out for the number 9.

I remember years ago when the site was "football rumours" and every team was on the same page. It was before the 2010 world cup when we were linked with Ozil. Someone wrote on the page "I have a friend who works at the United Megastore, they just got a big delivery of boxes of the letter Z for printing Ozil on the back of the jerseys. Signing to be announced very soon"
Safe to say I lost many a bet when he joined Madrid that summer hahah. That's definitely one of my favourites!

Finally the price of players that are asked in Football Manager game are becoming real.
I won't complain anymore that clubs ask 35 million pounds for an unknown left back or 80 for an unknown left winger.
By the way, this post has the best string of answer that I ever seem as a post in this website.

I'm not confident in rashford or martial at the moment to lead the line Tuor10, they are certainly not top drawer strikers as you say, they are talents with massive potential at the moment, we need the finished article for the start of the season in all honesty. I'm not happy at the money being banded around for morata and he's not the finished article either and we are having our pants pulled down yet AGAIN but it's not my money and I'd be more trusting in him to hit the net consistently all season than them two so If he's the best available then we have to do it I would say.

Tuor10 I agree regards pushing Rashford and Martial central. But we will need at least 1 top class winger if we are to do that. We definitely need 2 more players, a winger because we don't have any and a DM. Bale and Matic would be great business.
