With all this talk about signing morays for 73m, belotti for 84m and mbappe for 100m would people not prefer us to look at the premiership spend 75m on Kane, who's proven in the premiership and is english.

{Ed004's Note - Try doubling that figure for Kane then Levy might consider negotiations}

And good luck convincing Kane to leave HIS club, which is competing better than us at the moment.

He could well be a clubman if they stay near top of the league for next few years.

The cash is crazy. It isn't even inflation anymore it is senseless spending. I would like to see a worldwide salary cap and transfer expenditure cap.

Sometimes people amaze me. Even if Harry Kane is not having amazingly prolific returns taking away all attacking accolades for two consecutive seasons, being English and excitingly young how on earth do you expect Daniel Levy to sell him to us for £75M?

I'll put it down for you;
Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi will cost more than Harry Kane (and not because he's better than the rest) .

I'll give you a list of players currently not as expensive as Harry Kane.

Aguero
Mbappe* also overpriced
Griezman
Bale
Cavani
Di Maria
Robben
Higuain
Alexis Sanchez
Diego Costa
Benzema
Suarez
Lewandowski
Muller
Andre Silva.

Maze,

It isn't really to do with inflation though it's to do with the clubs making more money so therefore having more money to spend and also clubs having more money so not needing to sell to balance the books. Therefore only large amounts need to be paid. I'm sure you understand supply and demand and supplier power and buyer power, they are nothing to do with inflation.

Dodgy Banter, do you really think Spurs is competing better than us at the moment? They may have finished above us in the league but we won 2 trophies, one of which they were also in contention for.

14 Jun 2017 10:37:28
Not this again.

GDS2 I am sorry mate but if you think it has nothing to do with inflation then you need to take up a night class in economy.

MBD

My point is that we are starting to act like the filthy whore of the premier league.

Doesn't seem to matter that Kane does not want to leave, or that Tottenham do not want to sell. Just throw $100 bills at them both and eventually they will all change their mind. It is everything wrong with modern football.

We want players who want to come and play for us. Not mercenaries.
