Ed001 there is a question i asked last night now at the bottom of banter 1 you might have missed it. then again you might have chosen to ignore it🤣 any chance you would have ak look? Ta. K.

{Ed001's Note - I did miss it, probably mistakenly posted rather than held. I will answer it now.}

done the reply now mate - though I probably should have replied here really thinking about it!

I agree with you on fabinho and ibra, also have a feeling we may make a move Nainggolan. Matudi has been a bit below par when I have watched him this season but is a player I have always liked .

{Ed001's Note - I have only seen Matuidi about 10 times in the last few seasons, but he has excelled every single time. I think he is the kind of player that suits Jose and that is what I was trying to think of.}

Thanks 001. I agree with all the outs. GOULHAM is a new name i was hoping we would get mendy or rose.
I agree with you on matuidi considering the reports on the lad from Roma lifestyle wise.
I think in rashford tfm and tuanzabe we have good talent there and all 3 are pretty versatile.
Thanks ed appreciate your response.

{Ed001's Note - Ghoulam is one of the ones Liverpool had on their list and I was told that United scouted him even more than us, so it must be a possibility. I have not seen much of him, but I am told he has been a standout at left back in Serie A.
If it was me, I would go for Bakayoko but I think he is going to stay put now.
I agree on those three mate, I think all 3 have the potential to be United players for the long term, it is up to them how good they become.}

Ed, I thought it was just the metro talking trash, but is there honestly an interest in Naingollan? And I know you said it is a mistake, is it because he might be a short-gap solution to our problems?

{Ed001's Note - Jose has had a longstanding interest in him. The main obstacle has been his desire to stay in Rome for the night life there. It is a mistake because he smokes like a chimney and parties almost every night. He has a terrible lifestyle and it would be a very short-gap solution.}

Surprised you don't mention any wingers Ed001, especially right sided wingers. We lack wuality out wide imo and are in desperate need of a quality winger.

I'd love it if we signed Willian.

{Ed001's Note - I was assuming Rashford would play there at times.}

Ed001, can I ask what has changed in Bakayoko's situation? He seemed to want the Chelsea move, and I know Chelsea want him. A deal looked to be close. What happened there that you say you reckon he's more likely to stay at Monaco?

{Ed001's Note - I thought Chelsea had moved on due to the price. Monaco are not so desperate to sell, they are not skint or anything, Fabinho will go because of a promise made to him that he could leave this summer if he gave them one more season. So anyone else will leave on their terms.}

08 Jun 2017 15:55:03
Due to price? Well then, sounds like that's United's cue to swoop in for him and pay whatever Monaco want. If we don't get him I hope he stays at Monaco and maybe we'll move in for him again next summer. But somehow I think PSG or United might end up getting him this summer.
I like our (Chelsea's) dealings as we tend to stick to our beliefs on valuations etc. But sometimes it annoys me as we miss out on excellent players and our rivals buy them. Bakayoko could become Pogba 2.0 in that sense.

{Ed001's Note - I thought I was the only person who really rated Bakayoko, everyone else always dismisses him from what I have seen. Nice to know I am not the only one who sees something in him.}

By all counts Naingollan sounds like he'd be a complete disaster. Doesn't look after himself, heading for a rapid decline, and would probably be unhappy living here because it isn't party central.

08 Jun 2017 16:07:05
I think he's already really good, but he's got the potential to become a monster.

Hi Ed001

Hope you doing well?

We all know Tuanzebe is a talented player but do you see him as a future DM? At the end of last season he seemed very composed and a good passer of the ball.

Thanks as always.

{Ed001's Note - from what I saw he looked a centre back, though he could be the Matic-type player Jose favours in midfield. That is a role he can play. I always saw Fosu-Mensah being the one to assume that mantle though.}
