Conspiracy Hat On - maybe all the Perisic talk is designed to apply a bit of pressure to Griezmann, ie make your mind up quick or we go elsewhere.
I appreciate we could sign both and both seem to be of interest, but these little tricks seem feasible to me and I can easily see us dropping the Perisic interest if we get Griezmann.
It would make sense for the club to have as much wrapped up as possible by the end of June so come July 1 papers are submitted and we can get cracking with a full pre-season. It would be foolish to be making signings during August with so much time and this summer being vital for Jose to get things well prepared - I'm sure the club don't want yet another long drawn out saga as much as we don't.
I understand the window isn't open yet before some of you jump on me misinterpreting my post for being my impatience at the club - it isn't that at all, I just think the club will be impatient this summer and so they should be!

Id be disappointed but if we can't get him so be it. But greizman is a player in a bracket below Messi and Ronaldo alongside a group of maybe 6 or 8 players that I consider to be real game changers playing constantly well for a few seasons. Hazzard Suarez bale neymar dybala robben (in his prime) players that van win a game in a flash players that excite, score regularly assist drag defenders around and strike fear into opponents when they are on the ball in dangerous areas. They are players that can adapt to being doubled up on can cope without support on occasions and do something brilliant. Players that deliver on the big occasion
We have had players like that in the past. Giggs Rooney Beckham Ronaldo best rvp and many more.
But if we don't get greizman it won't be the end of The world we could get someone else that is a huge success and does all i hope greizman could help us do.

I try not to get to caught up in it, we will sign who we sign lot of good players out there .
They don't have to be big names, everyone went on and on about pogba and idra last year Bailly turned out to be the better buy, herrera and Tony where our best players this year.
Looked down the page and 007 makes a great point, you do wonder if people would lose interest if united got a transfer ban .
