Well its cup final week and most seem to agree on who they think will start on Wednesday.
All signs do point to a very cautious UTD and a defensive performance against Ajax. Hope its not like that BUT the result is what counts, il take a 1-0 last minute goal in the most boring game ever seen if it means us winning.
Yesterday was a good game, nice to see a young UTD playing well with some new faces. Well done boys.

I'm glad the Premier League season is over, it was becoming a chore and it was obvious Jose and some of the players didn't have the appetite for last few remaining games. It was nice to see the kids given a chance and at least they injected some enthusiasm into an otherwise meaningless game.
Call me a party pooper but even if we win on Wednesday night the feeling will be one of relief rather than celebration.
Now I'm not arrogant enough to turn my nose up at two trophies and maybe I've been spoilt by our success over the past 25 years but I still can't escape the sensation of feeling a touch underwhelmed and disappointed. I'm not criticising or pointing the finger just describing this strange feeling I have with a big game only days away. I'm not excited yet more apprehensive and I'm just praying we can get the job done and move on with the task of trying to build a squad capable of winning the major trophies.
No doubt come Wednesday night my mood will have improved and win or lose I'll be at OT again next season supporting the Club I love. Good luck boys, let's win this trophy and put this season to bed!

I know we'd be defensive against Ajax for sure.
Someone would have to sit ahead of Jones/ Smalling/ Blind defensive pairing.
Yesterday's game meant so much to the young players playing, and they looked really hungry and eager to prove a point.

Danny. It's a European trophy. There are only two and we're in one of them. We need to win it. Simple as that. No excuses from manager or players. I for one, am nervous as anything. Hope we can win it and look forward to a good new season.

I have feelings of apprehension too.
But i always have that when its cup final day especially European cup final day! Add to that berves and excitement and its how it should be - UTD against the wrld.
Lets hope we win the cup and going forward that this window is a success and next season - well, we all might be on here at xmas happy with our position in the league (1st)

I appreciate it's a cup final and we need to win it 'Bigly', but I am just finding it hard to be excited about it.
I have that feeling you get when you arrive at the airport and see the couple of people in the business/ first class check-in area, yet next to it is the 90 minute queue of horribleness that you know is going to be boring as hell and it's touch and go whether you are going to get on your flight! (see what I did there? )
Couldn't care less about the trophy, it's the qualification that matters. Nobody cares about the Europa League really, it's the path it provides that matters now and we have been snaking our way down it like Gazza on a night out. Just hope the pain and boredom of getting to the final will be worth it in the end.
P. S - I'd give up CL football in a heartbeat if it meant our fans would stop singing that horrible horrible song!

Beast you did not disappoint for being consistent 😂.
I think you need to chill and take it with a pinch. Watch the game if you're keen but don't if you're bored. I can understand how you feel with all your expectations being underachieved. It will happen somehow, somewhere and someday. That is life.
However I can dare say there will be many many more supporters being positive about this season and I hope you can one day be like them too. Life is too short man.
Drink a beer, turn on the TV, watch the game and enjoy whatever the outcome. We will be No 1 again soon. When? I don't know but I am sure it will be soon.

Anyone who says that they aren't looking forward to a cup final needs their head examining. Reminds me of some of the spoilt brats that I see at parties my daughter gets invited to. No it's not the champions league, but we haven't deserved to be in that, so why not enjoy the cup we are in and have been good enough for? The good years really have ruined some supporters, who now see anything but the PL or CL title as worthless. Very sad really.
We all want the two top trophies, and no one celebrated more in 99 when we ruled the world, but it's not currently where we are. That's life. We'll get our shot again sooner or later and we'll enjoy it when it comes. Let's not whine like babies and treat all lesser trophies as a piece of sh*t. Many clubs and supporters would give anything to be in wednesdays final, no matter what some say. Let's enjoy it and hopefully we can be at the top table again next season.

I remember watching the Cup Winners Cup Final in 1991, right at the start of our journey, it was tremendous. We've never won what was the UEFA Cup so it would be good to do so, it would also put us another trophy ahead of the Scousers.
Ok, it's not the Champions League but it's a European trophy and I'll be very happy if we win it. I'm not sure it will be straight forward, I'm hoping the rest has worked wonders and we get at them, on paper we should win but Cup finals are always a little tricky.

I have to say that I don't agree with the words of the song. We aren't playing how united should, at the moment. Doesn't mean after a nice win on Wednesday and a good summer that we won't be, I'd hold the song for now though personally. Sing about Mourinho if you want but let's not tell porkies :-)

Well, I'm really excited about the prospect of United winning a European trophy and hopefully qualifying for the Champions League.
