Watching the match last night I can't help but feel that Jose's tiredness lectures have got into the heads of the players. Last night just underlined how many of the squad are not good enough to wear the shirt. I really hope whatever team Jose sends out next Wednesday they put on a display rather than the insipid displays they have managed over the last four or five matches.

This is a major problem for me, even more noticeably taking the foot off the gas over the past few weeks is going to lead to us having problems in going up 3-4 gears for the final. We have struggled for fitness all season, clearly something is wrong with the training and recuperation methods. Players rested for too long from competitive games and not sure who will be playing, little familiarity. Been playing ultra defensive for over a month now as well.

Would anybody put their faith in our starting 11 being 100% ready for the final, I imagine they will be really off the pace? Even if they are totally fit, it's hard to shake the lackluster, ultra negative football approach we have adopted. I fear we are approaching the game in completely the wrong way, no need to reply with "Jose clearly knows more than you Beast, blah blah blah", I think he has been found wanting too many times to simply say this isn't an issue.

I think April took its toll on the players and they haven't really recovered since. i'm not expecting exhibition football next week more of a tight nervous game where a mistake might settle it. Lingard always seems to turn up for these games and I have got money on him getting the winner.

If you think what Jose has been saying to the players has had a huge affect then that's good news as he will be drilling into them the importance of the Ajax game, he is playing these last few games perfectly in my opinion, getting lads game time without tiring them out and getting them perfectly prepared for our biggest game in years.

Jose clearly knows more than you Beast. Sorry, couldn't resist.

The last couple of games are being treated as no bigger than pre season friendlies.

Exactly Ken - that lax attitude/ long lay off takes competitive games to shirk off, cup final or not. I will be amazed if we start the final quicker/ better than Ajax, it will take us time to get going, if we get going at all.

I agree beast its not as easy as swithching on a light switch but i am 100% sure that jose wikl have them well prepared and in the right frsme of mind.
He knows how to win finals. Admittedly he has never gone into a final with so many poor players in his side but I think we have enough to get through and will have the right motivation.
With any luck it will be the last we see of some of this bunch. Most of them have been around 3or 4 years and are perennial failures simply not good enough to compete for a league championship.

Any surprise Beast doesn't agree with what the manager is doing? Fairly sure if we were going full throttle in these games Beast would be saying we should be resting players. That's my issue here Beast, you come across as constantly having the opposite opinion and it gets tiresome.

How about this for tiresome.

Same points as last season, just 3 goals more, 1 place less - progress!

obody has said we have had a good season in the league, we have missed too many chances in home games that we dominated and that has cost us massively. But we have a chance to put that right on Wednesday and hopefully the lads will, now bloody get behind them.
