Why you unsure about lukaku ed you like belotti as he was powerful, fast good in the air and was 2nd top scorer in the team that are ninth,
Lukaku is the top scorer in the premium league for a team that are 7th with his attributes similar to belotti going off the description, not saying he's my choice either just wondered why you have your doubts about him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know you asked the Ed, Slate, but personally, I've always thought Lukaku tends to go missing against the bigger teams - a flat-track bully. Whereas, Belotti seems to have a knack of scoring in important games. Plus, Lukaku just seems to me to be one of those players who can look like a world-beater in one game and I want us to snap him up immediately, then a big, lumbering tree in others, and I'm thinking I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole.

I tend to agree with you noucamp, my belotti point was at a price of 84 million not a chance in hell i'd pay it but ed says be less, a lot less in my book to bite, I get the dilemma with lukaku great on his day, not bad stats, top scorer and yet still not convinced .

Then again it's the flat track bullies that win the Premier League ;-)

{Ed004's Note - I didn't get the chance to reply. But Lukaku worries me because he has gone missing every single time I've watched him play a top 6 team. He still hasn't improved upon his first touch and I worry about his work rate. However, maybe Lukaku needs to move a top team and he will make that next step up as well. If he came he would have my support}

I'm not convinced with Lukaku and certainly not at stupid money. Belotti I haven't seen enough of to comment.

If the fees were similar I'd have to go for lukaku before belotti he's top scorer in the league I want him to score in . I'd still have to get a firm no from Munich first about big bid for lewandowski before either . Same as real Madrid would have to give me a firm no about bale before I looked at greizmann.

15 May 2017 19:20:50
Slate lewandowski before lukaku i agree with but i would rather have Griezmann before bale, he is injury prone, his beggest asset is pace which will be gone in 2-3 seasons after that he will be half the player he was, a fully fit bale is as good as messi or ronaldo but a fully fit bale now a days seems a mythical concept.

15 May 2017 20:03:42
I may be wrong but bale is only 1 year 8 month older than greizmann, I think he will be some player for a few year yet, point taken about injuries but who's to say either won't break a leg first game. The difference to me is we hope greizmann would handle the premium league and be a hit but we know bale already has, people forget what a massive hit bale was here, his goals to games ratio is nearly the same as greizmann but he was a left back half his career.

Slate injuries can happen to anyone but the likelihood of career ending injuries to players who have had otherwise injury free careers is lot less than injuries to player who is injury prone and relies on pace, griezmann does not rely just on pace unlike bale whose whole game is based around his pace which will desert you at some point especially if you are as injury prone as bale is.

Griezmann isn't some average player coming from obscure league, this is a guy who was 3rd behind messi and ronaldo, euro goal boot winner and player of the tournament, right now only messi and ronaldo are ahead of him in terms of his on field ability.

Also about the whole goals to games ratio, greizzmann plays for a team that barely crosses the 70 goal mark each season while bale plays for a team that scores 100 or more each season.
