Thanku very much ed002! Brill sharkpod.

Can some one post a summary of the shark pod, I'm traveling Internet crap.

GK - Expect DDG and Romero to go. Oblak is wanted but too expensive, Handanovic is a possibility. Wild cards Kasper and Begovic although both unlikely

RB - Nelson Semedo is the one Jose wants

LB - Aaron Martin of Espanyol, Kieron Tierny and Ryan Sessengnon all been looked at

CB - Lindelof is who Jose wants to pair Bailly with, likely to happen. Keane an unlikely option

DM - Fabinho is wanted, was wanted in Jan. Possible. Bakayoko looked at. Don't rule out Matic as another option

CM - Savic was first choice but won't be moving. Tony Kroos is expensive but we're interested and could happen. Tiago Mia was an option but too dear. Blaise Matuidi is liked by Jose, possible.

AT - Greizzman is wanted, will be dear and could well happen. Peresic is plan B. Wild card is Willian

CF - Muller is who Jose wants to replace Zlatan, won't be happening. Mbappe is liked but won't be moving to united. Jose would like Aguero but again it's impossible for obvious reasons. Morata may be of interest and Madrid are likely to use him as part of a deal for anther player to save shelling out the cash. Belotti is liked, has been watched and is an option. Don't rule out Lukaku. Jose likes him and it's likely he will move on.

That's the main stuff but I have probably missed a few.

{Ed004's Note - I thought he said there was a chance De Gea could go not that he expected him too? Would love Semedo and happy he is the clear first choice but Henricks and Aurier aren't bad second/third options. Anyone seen Aaron Martin play? Missed Brozovic as a potential midfield signing as well (haven't seen him play either). Belotti interest will probably turn to a firm interest}

Handanovic, Semedo, Martin, lindelof, Fabinho, Kroos, Griezman, lukaku/ Belotti

They seem to be currently the first choices of those that may be available, but not clear exactly just yet. Plenty of time until July.

09 May 2017 20:47:16
Anyone seen Aaron Martin? I don't know anything about him.

{Ed001's Note - an aspiring sports journo put this together for you, see if this is any use: Aaron Martin‬

09 May 2017 20:47:50
Ed I think it's highly likely De Gea will go.

{Ed004's Note - I think that's the case as well but really hope I'm wrong.}

09 May 2017 21:00:39
Thanks boys.

{Ed004's Note - So by the looks of it an ideal summer would be keep De Gea while signing Semedo, Lindelof, Aaron, Fabinho, Griezmann and Belotti - if being greedy Kroos or Brozovic as well}

09 May 2017 21:07:10
I don't think there is any chance of DDG going and have said that for 3 summers now. let's wait and see.

{Ed004's Note - Hopefully you are right! We have very few world class players and would like to keep the ones we have}

09 May 2017 21:21:15
Arguably 6-8 first team players coming in. GK, RB, LB, CB, CDM, CM, RF and CF. Lot of change and lot of expense.

09 May 2017 21:37:02
5 at best. never going to see 8 players mate.

{Ed004's Note - I'm guessing 6 if De Gea doesnt leave. Rb, Cb, Lb all seem highly likely, as does 1 midfielder and two forward players}

09 May 2017 21:37:35
Did Ed say we are looking at them players or trying to sign them all because that's about a 400 mill spend.

{Ed004's Note - I think Kroos was a wildcard}

09 May 2017 18:50:40
Thanks ed002 some really insights. It looms like a busy summer ahead for all concerned.
Let's hope we can get the 4 or 5 top players we need to improve the quality of the squad in order to mount a serious title challenge next season.

{Ed002's Note - I suspect that is where they wanty to be Ken.}

09 May 2017 20:11:17
Thanks ed02 as usual a fantastic summary. You really are nice guys haha.

{Ed002's Note - I am the particularly nice one - do you have a sister still alive.}

09 May 2017 21:49:04
Any word who might leave.

{Ed002's Note - A mess of:
Matteo Darmian
Marcus Rojo
Phil Jones
Ashley Young
Michael Carrick (will not get a new contract unless no replacement is available in the Summer - else a one year extension)
Wayne Rooney
De Gea
Sergio Romero
Juan Mata

09 May 2017 22:29:59
Ed will Rojo be available to transfer In the summer following surgery?
You mentioned left back in the sharkopod as being a bigger problem now is that due to shaw latest injury?

{Ed002's Note - Maybe remains the answer - it will be a problem position for a while. Rojo has done well but is not the right "calibre" (and I am being poite). It will be interesting.}

09 May 2017 22:31:54
Bit gutted about ddg and surprised by rojo especially with his knee.

The rest are really squad players, never really been convinced about mata.

{Ed002's Note - There is a need for change and a need to balance changes - JM is going to hang on in there but you are right, there will be some high profile changes and some noise. Pogba has been a bit of a financial mess and there are issues with many of these players.}

09 May 2017 23:18:13
Ed any idea what is going on with fifa looking at the pogba deal.
And is Jose settled at united now or are there still some issues.

{Ed002's Note - What they are interested in is unrelated to JM's happiness.}

10 May 2017 07:23:40
Thanks ed looks like a pretty large ' churn' of players despite previous reports of 3 in 3 some moths ago.
Looks like we are clearing some squad players bringing in some 1st team starters which should reduce a lot of our under performing starters from this season to reduced roles of squad players next season. That is certainly required. Left full back appears to be a position that remains suspect perhaps blind can hold the fort until shaw comes back which is not ideal given shaw ongoing fitness issues.

10 May 2017 11:12:07
I would of thought everyone one will be given a fair chance, the vast majority of the first team will remain the same .
Ibra has gone so will need replaced,
and ddg looks like he wants out, plus rojo has done his knee
We where always going to sign another attacker in the griez mould .

And it looks like rooney and young have been on the move for a while .
2 attackers a cb and a gk for the first team 4 players due to us losing Ibra and ddg maybe some squad players but I would be amazed if we sign much more than that.

10 May 2017 11:22:57
Interesting that Fellaini staying - guess he's a "typical" Mourinho player who gives 100%, does what he's told and stays under the radar. (Example made of Herrera recently for speaking out - could wind JM up if Griezeman does come in and speaks to press)
