DDG, Shaw, Blind, Smalling, Jones, Darmian, Carrick, Herrera, Rooney, Mata, Martial, IBRA, Januzaj all rumoured to be leaving, some I'm sure will stay, but that is a lot of players to replace in one window given that Schweini, Schneiderlin and Depay have all already left

I have no problem with Jose getting rid of sub standard/ aging/ sick note players, but he appears to be making a hard job high on impossible.

{Ed004's Note - Hopefully De Gea, Smalling, Shaw, Carrick, Herrera, Mata and Martial all stay from that list}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully Ed, but Jose seems to be determined to assert his authority. Was one thing when it was sub standard or ageing players but now Herrera?

Doesn't seem like the wisest timing as we battle to make top 4 and win Europa league.

{Ed004's Note - It doesn't look or sound good. Herrera seems a very likeable player and is hard working}

I don't think Herrera will be leaving. I've seen nothing anywhere saying he will be. He has been amazing this season, I can't see Jose selling a player it would cost a hell of a lot of money to replace unless he wants to go. I don't think Herrera wants to leave.

DeGea maybe, but it has been on the cards for a while now.

Hadn't seen the posts on the rumours page before posting above. Shame if he goes. Seems a good lad and proud to wear the shirt. Hope it doesn't happen, as he is a player that doesn't actually need replacing as he is good enough to be here, where as others donned replacing as they aren't good enough.

So its OK for the manager to ditch players we don't rate but not ones we like?

26 Apr 2017 19:16:03
Mulamno it is not asserting your authority but rather being stupid, one does not just tell 3 important players that they can leave in the next window just before season deciding set of matches. Jose has grown into to a crazy guy who likes throwing people under the bus and throwing tantrums for no reason other than because he can. First schweinsteiger then smalling and jones and now telling hererra our player of the season to leave, these are situations that could have been handled a whole lot more maturely than mourinho did. This is exactly the sort of behaviour that sees him become a hated figure 2-3 seasons down the line.

Ed2 has said on rumours page he has upset Jose. Apparently DDG, Herrera and Mata have all been made available.

No love for the Spanish players.

Fergie sold Hughes, Ince and Kanchelskis in one window. Everyone said he was mad. We won the double. Jose knows what he is doing - he's won major trophies at every single club he's been at. We'll be fine.

26 Apr 2017 19:52:19
Who's saying that jred? Or are you just interpreting posts how you want to again?

26 Apr 2017 19:58:59
RWWD. You have to trust Jose, he has a proven track record when it comes to transfers. We thought fergie was mad on a few occasions but he always found a way to replace players.

I think Jose will do the same. I'm even more confident with the GK positiong.

Who decides that some players are "sub standard" and it's OK to sell them?
I would seem it's OK to sell players we consider sub standard or sick notes .
Is it different if it's a player we don't consider sub standard?

26 Apr 2017 20:20:55
I think its something to do with De Gea being left out of a few sides.
And mata and herrera stick by him, it was something like that when Van Gaal was about, if he upset 1 he upset the others aswel.

26 Apr 2017 20:51:21
I would call it opinion jred. That's what the site is about.

Or do you think there isn't a player at united who does deserve to be there.

Sub standard would usually be used for describing a player regarded as not being up to the standard of playing at a club of Uniteds stature.

I think it's fair to say we have had a few of those over the years.

It simply could mean that Jose doesn't want to give too much into player power. He has already suffered that before. It could be really clever on his part. To think of it SAF always maintained the same. It's his way or the highway. Remember.

Bang on Shane if they are not towing the line cut them loose there can only be one boss do it his way or f off.
Rvn Beckham stam ince all big popular players that took on fergie and lost and there are plenty of other examples.
