I think he's going to play a "weakened" team. I think he'll rest Bailey, Pogba, Martial and Herrera maybe. Jose's comments About 4th place not being a trophy, I think he's going to throw all our eggs on the Europa league.

Didn't Pogba go off injured? And also if Shaw and Valencia come back in, then Darmian won't have a specific job as all 3 won't play together.

Jose said he is prioritising the cup.

Mumbles,

And let's hope city believed that nonsense that came out of Jose's mouth as well. Why would he rest everybody for the derby, one of our most important games of the season when he didn't for the game against Burnley? It was Jose mind games and the team against city will be one that Jose thinks can win the game.

I can see a weakened team out thursday, enough not to get hammered but maybe a very defensive midfield possibly darmianm tfm, shaw, blind, carrick, fellani, rooney all in there somewhere, - park the bus and get a set piece or a counter attack 0-1 shut up shop - I honestly think yesterday has given him a headache . had we not got 3 points at Burnley, had lpool won, had city won n 90 mins he might have decided in his own mind rest players in pl and go for Europa . with the door still open now due to yesterdays results he might think 3 points at city and a possible 3 points versus swansea throws a different light on it all now .

There where a lot of changes for the Burnley game was it something like 8.

City's strength is the speed and skill of attack, so maybe united will try to dominate midfield to try to keep the ball away from them - perhaps deploy Fellaini as the deep-lying midfielder/ 3rd central defender to pack midfield, match physicality of Yaya and to add extra cover to defence if needed.

We would also need Herrera's energy, or even man-mark de bryne, though this isn't a surprise anymore to opposition. Valencia and Shaw/ Young as wingbacks then pace upfront with Rashford, Martial and Micky. Pace and power - and hope that City have a bad day!
