Interesting stats. Bailly has covers less ground per game than any other premiership player that has played a full 90 mins.
Zlatan near the bottom at 8.95km per game followed by what some people consider a fast energetic player in martial at 9.1km per game which is the lowest of any wide player in the league. At least zlatan is scoring I'm not sure martial has any redeeming feature to excuse him this season.
Message we need to work harder United cover less ground per game than any other team in the epl.

It's contextual though, isn't it. You don't want your centre back running all over the place as it suggests his positioning would be awful. Chris Smalling is near the top of that list, right?
{Ed004's Note - I think we do need to work harder but I wouldn't be too worried about our centre backs not covering a tonne of ground - they shouldn't really need to. Martial on the other hand needs to pull the finger out}

The fact united cover less ground than any other team would tell you its a team issue or tactics we employ
. the slow tempo and just keeping possession will play a big part of it .

I only mentioned bailly as being the bottom of the list Jones and smalling and a bunch of other cbs are there. But was shocked to see that martial was pretty much the same as Ibra and had the least coverage of any wide player. Herrera pogba Jessie and rash are high on the list so certain players are doing it. our possession stats are worse than spurs or Chelsea but they run more so it's simply not down to possession. Tactics will obviously have a bearing but I can't see The coach telling rash or Jessie to run hard but telling martial not to.
Great compliments today for rash from Jose saying g he is last off the training pitch always doing extra work on shooting and delivery with an assistant coach great to see. If he keeps that up he will go far and realise his potential instead of relying on his potential.

It could be the lw sticks to the touch line while the rw is interchangeable with the 10 .
Also the other 2 highest where fellaini and mata add pogba herrera and rash like u say and all them players play cm rw .
To be honest the stats I saw didn't mention herrera rash or pogs .
But united as a team bottom of league tells it's own story.

Rash played a lot on the left. Martial is too static. You know your football jred you have to see that martial lacks sensible aggressive movement off the ball. On it he can be sublime but he sits need to work harder of the ball it's frustrating because he can be devastating when he gets himself in the good positions.
