One of lifes small luxuries to sit on the sofa and watch a great football game you have no emotional investment in, last nights Real v Bayern was fantastic, not just the quality but 2 top teams going for a win at times making it look so simple. There were a few duff periods as well mind - but that Marcelo what a player, up and down like an old fashioned winger with a bit of steel. Robben. all left foot yet unstoppable. Toni Kroos could have had 2 goals himself with a bit of composure - Vidal 100% power and energy, wrongly sent off . Isco looking overpriced at 20 million, benzema making Emile hesky look good (never rated him) and then Ronaldo .2 dodgy goals but waht a big game player . give me the ball! all in all a great game.

Agree2 Disagree1

The Atletico 2nd half wasn't bad either, esp. after the equalizer.

It was a fantastic match. Marcelo really convinced me last night, what a threat down the left all night long, and so comfortable on the ball. I was admiring him on the left and Lahm on the right for Bayern, for me the best in the world at their positions, although they play in completely different styles. Marcelo so brave and adventurous on the ball, and Lahm so consistent with his positioning and decision-making, he makes the game look easy to play.

The bayern Madrid game was excellent. Lots of good players playing well. Great to watch.

Yes Marcelo looked an absolute beast I think 3 years a go he was jumping into tackles and was a bit lost now he is a real cornerstone of that team - Lahm looked choked up at the end, his last CL game - top player.

Ribery looks like its 50/ 50 if he will get back to his best though -Robben is such an odd one though, he runs with tiny steps he looks so slow and is all left foot yet time and time again he waltzes through defences, now he is looking more and more like Riquelme (? ) his lack of pace won't stop him being at the top for 2-3 seasons more in a great team, great skills, great passing and got a real end product.

Shame that 2 ex-United Owen's and whoever that woman was just spent the whole of the post game analysis complaining about the referee and ignored what a great game they had just watched.
